The reason you feel that way about the Red Wings is because you don't know exactly what's going on here.. Stevie-Y is working on getting the younger guys developed and the playoffs are a bonus to that, HOWEVER ☝️ it isn't the be-all of end-all.. he's doing basically what Brad Holmes on the Detroit Lions are doing and setting up the future and to have a competitive team that's contending for the Stanley Cup for years to come.. he said plenty of times in this pressure that he could have easily went out and signed a big free agent and be able to make the playoffs for 2 or 3 seasons but then you put your team in future cap hail whereas now he has the cap under control for the most part and the development of the young guys will have this team making their own splash from within within the next 2 years.. this team will shock everybody but it may take another year or two... People are just looking for it in a different way..
