I’m in the same situation right now with an antique farmhouse looking chest. I’m leaning into the imperfections because there were so many and might do a design with stain on the front just to make it a little more modern. Sometimes the piece tells us what to do with it😀😀

It is SO nice to hear real music instead of the elevator music most DIY UA-cam channels have!!!!! I would rather hear silence and some of the awful music I hear on many of the channels. I guess it’s just my pet peeve.

Good idea to go with the distressed look instead of taking the time to fix all the damage. I like the grain on the top drawer, have you considered white washing it? Way less work!
