I love this album I remember driving on the freeway with my girlfriend on the 14 fwy late at night playing this song it blew us both away we were in heaven driving it seems like it was taking us through the mountains through the freeway this beautiful you should make another updated version

This was the first Part Metheny Group album I ever heard as a student in n the 80's and I was hooked and continue to very much enjoy his music today.

@H.T.C. Procol Harum is always great. The photos you chose do nothing to enhance the majesty of the music. You want subscribers, to this uncreative whatever? Go stick it!!! There are other sites that post Procol Harum! Really, your photos are an insult to the music and basically a joke.

I listened to this Every Day for at lest 5 months after it was released, and it's funny how musical taste change over the years. This music now sounds very "dated", and meandering....actually reminding me a bit of "Ommadawn" by Mike Oldfield - kinda "old-school" Proggy! And as much as I loved the late Lyle May's piano work, his Oberheim Synth textures were still rooted in the British Prog sounds of Rick Wakeman, and Keith Emerson. Oh...and the album cover? - probably one of the Worst in the entire ECM catalogue! - looks like it was done by someone in a Jr. High-school Graphics class. And what's this recitation of numbers in the murky middle section...reminding me of Glass's "Einstein on the Beach", and some of David Sylvian's ambient work. So now, at 66 years of age, I actually find myself listening more to Godspeed! You Black Emperor, and Michael Gira Swans.

Keith Reid was a mad genius; Gary Brooker and Robin Trower were musical geniuses. What they made together is phenomenal and, in some ways, unmatched.

It always bothers me a bit that Naná Vasconcelos is hardly or rarely mentioned, even though his contribution to this album is exceptional.

This is such a great song. It’s a departure from their very often dark gothic songs… which I do love. In fact my favorite band!

Some friends of mine introduced me to The Pat Metheny Group sometime in the late '80's, starting with "Travels". I was immediately hooked! I have this album on vinyl, and I used to have it on CD, which is now forever lost. Sad to hear about Lyle Mays. May he forever rest in peace. One can only imagine the compositions he is composing now!

I bought this in 1984 when they released it on CD and loved it so much. It disappeared one day. I think it was an ex-boyfriend... 😠

j'ai le vinyl juste derrière moi, acheté en 82 après l'avoir écouté chez un ami ... mais je n'ai plus rien pour l'écouter. J'ai décidé d'offrir tous mes vinyls à ma fille et j'espère qu'elle aura le même plaisir.

I do own a copy of this record and think it is the best ever colaboración the late Lye Mays did with Pat Metheny. As another person wrote: a true masterpiece. Hope one day, he will be invited to be a part of the yearly Panama Jazz Festival.

I miss Lyle Mays.

I bought this album many moons ago knowing nothing about Pat or Lyle. Sometimes God just looks out for ya. I would put this in the same class as my Chick Corea Leprachaun's Dream. If the house was on fire these are 2 of the ones I'd grab.

Harmony, sounds and harmonics only this unique group could perform. It such an amazing composition, it takes my breath away.

I was hooked when Pat played Amelia with Joni Mitchell’s Shadow and Light tour!!! How long ago was that???? And then became a Mays fan also and very much!!! Miss his presence on the earth! I’m a 70 year old lady so my eccentricity is ignored and it’s a great way to be😊😊😊

You have made my day!! I hope your young. I’m a retired middle school teacher and this generation seems to be lacking in creativity and just going to other creative thought and letting their minds go to other worlds There are too many drivers and not many who would do as you did😊😉
