Hi! That’s actually what I’m trying to do now 😄 : downsizing my setup/pedalboard by replicating some fonctions of pedals that I like. And I have to decide between the Faderfox EC4 and TouchOSC on iPad for my midi controller. The Zoia and Euroburo probably will never leave my setup and have kind of cured/reduce my GAS! 😂😂😂 If a deep dive into the Zoia doesn’t scare you, I strongly recommend this pedal/module!

@@muenn9276 Fun. Replicating with Zoia/Euroburo? I heared the CPU is kinda limited to replicate multiple effects/instuments at once? I'm not scared, done some Reaktor, SynthEdit, Patchblock and Eurorack in the past - more scared that it will not be as spontaneous as my current setup with multiple boxes :)

@@mahusonicstorytelling8693 Oh! I guess you won’t have any problem with the zoia then (if the interface suits you)! 👍 And you’re right: the CPU is the limit, but you can create some big patches. For example, I have a « modulation patch » with following basic effects: compressor, equalizer, fuzz, ring modulator, vibrato, chorus, phaser, flanger, tremolo and low pass filter. On other patches, I also tried to replicate some functions I liked of the Chase Bliss Mood and other pedals… (ua-cam.com/video/sNivH3YFttw/v-deo.html) My main pedals are a C4 and two Zoias now and I find it really nice to virtually change my pedalboard as I need it. It takes time to program everything, but I don’t regret my analog gear… 😊

With the Morningstar, I can control the pedals while playing. The faderfox is connected to the Morningstar midi input (and goes « thru the Morningstar »), so the midi informations from the faderfox transit via the Morningstar to control the pedals depending on the channels of the midi messages… Is it more or less clear? 😅

Thanks! 😊 There are multiple methods, but I’ll try to explain mine in a video as soon as possible: 1) Put the ec4 and zoia on the same midi channel 2) Define every CC number for each knob on the ec4 (e. g. knob 1 - cc 1, etc.) 3) Create a midi CC module on zoia for each knob on the ec4 (midi cc 1 on zoia for knob 1 on ec4, etc.) 4) Connect every midi CC module on zoia with the setting you want to control If these explanations are not really clear, I hope the future video will help… 😊

It’s a Faderfox EC4. Great little piece! Only downside with Zoia: I couldn’t make it receive the cc values state from Zoia…

Could u explain what you mean? Is this like it won't accept the initial cc states?

Yes, for example: if a patch has a cc value of 63 on Zoia, the knob will reset the value to 0 when I turn it. But I have to check the manual to see if I’ve done something wrong… 😁

Definitely the Zoia! I really like the Microcosm, but ended up selling it to buy a second Zoia… If you have time and want to create specific patches/effects, the Zoia is incredibly versatile! But it has a certain learning curve, whereas the Microcosm is more « plug’n’play » IMHO…

@@muenn9276 Oh yes tbh I prefer a bit of learning but not too much..I like plug and play too but I'm hearing the Microcosm has some latency,DSP issues and is not as vast or versatile..I'm hearing the Zoia has hundreds of user patches to download?..I'm looking for the most expansive pedal out there for ambient Bass soundscapes and it seems the Zoia is THE one..unless there is something else I'm not aware of .My other pedals are the C4,Strymon Zelzah, Polymoon,Raster 2, Neunaber Immerse 2,CKk infinite reverb,DMC Micro..Thanks for replying..

Thanks! I thinks it’s actually great. I would say I have a feeling of « precision » with the Zoia LPF and a « feel it » approach with the xerograph (numerical values vs knobs). The xerograph LPF maybe sounds « warmer », but that’s only my feeling… Don’t know if that’s clear! 😄

Yes, it’s sold: LPF and envelope filter are really good on Zoia and C4 (if you take time to set them)!

Yep! The possibilities are indeed endless... I recently had to take the Enzo out of the board and even now it’s incredible!

Hi! That’s an expression pedal: you can connect it with compatible pedals and modify some parameters (depends on the pedal). I hope this answers your question!

Thanks! The connection path: EXP -(trs)-> DMCmicro -(midi)-> Meris midi I/O -(trs)-> Meris midi/exp input. The Disaster Area Midibox also works great!

I find the tracking really good! I have a compressor, an envelope generator and an octaver in front of it and no problems of tracking. I didn’t try to put it at the end of the chain... It may be less conclusive.

Hi! I’m not 100% sure, but without footswitch or software, I think you can only save the changes made to the current preset you’re using (by holding down the alt-button). It means you only use, change and save the first preset. If you want to access, change and save the 15 other presets, you’ll need some external controller…

Роман Гончаренко You’re welcome! Yes, the alt-button allows you to save all changes in a preset. If you press the alt-button for 2 seconds, you can unplug the pedal and go back to the same settings when you plug it back. Did I answer your question? 🙂

Hi, that's it, yes! It's a synth sound generated by Zoia. 0:00-0:52 -> The sound is triggered by the notes of the blue keyboard. 0:53-2:14 -> The sound is triggered by the bass (through a pitch detector).
