Wow, seeing Butch take down that prey really felt like Rose was a dispersal and he was the player wolf- almost like we're seeing the story from a dispersal's eyes, with the other wolf showing off their skills and taking down prey to impress her. I haven't seen another dispersal wolf take down prey on their own like that before.

Getting pups to back off is so hard for some reason.. I don't know if the rival wolves continue attacking even when the pup isn't, or if you have to target the pup specifically, which is very difficult in so much chaos. RIP Laurentii ;w; Man, Arno almost died by choosing to hunt that spike elk. Awwwweh the way they greet the pups is so sweet.🥺Looking forward to the next episode(s)!

Having her not hunt a lot might actually make sense, because technically she has two other wolves with her at the same carcass, who would need to hunt more frequently. I can completely relate to having no motivation to record or edit after an event like a death or terrible tragedy in-game. Also the love of playing WolfQuest combined with the stress of playing WolfQuest when added on top of irl stress is a really hard thing to balance. 😔I wonder how it would go with Helene taking on so many pups and yearlings considering the new saga mechanic that tries to limit pack size as much as possible. WolfQuest: "Ah, welcome back! You said your last wolf got killed by a bear? Okay, well then have another. :D Oh, and some rival wolves as well." I really hope that your burnout improves and life gets a little less stressful despite all the chaos. 💟

Ooof wow- after hunting so many times, encountering rival wolves, and going a whole episode doing super well, one stinky kitty could've ended it all. '0.0 It's a miracle my wolves are still alive honestly. Hopefully Helene is able to heal for the next episode!

its sad when things you actually loved and enjoyed playing with dies, like mates or pups. unfortunately though, its life. everything is supposed to have a “good life” then pass, happy or not. ❤

Kind of funny that I suggested the name Flicker from one of my old roleplay NPCs, who supposedly died of sickness. '^-^ Thankfully the pup survived though! Awweh Ember certainly did save his entire pack. Pfft the amount of contempt and subtle fondness in the words "that's just a Canyon move". XD I forget how loud and chaotic seven pups can be, but it did make the ending victory howl quite glorious. Surprised that the pups stayed in the grass that long- and that those wolves were so persistent.

Rip Canyon. He had his bad moments and his good moments. He was never perfect but was great in his own way.

The amount of times I was sure the pups were doomed- yet somehow they made it out okay. I really want to get to your level of ultimate pup protection and smart decision making. The way I physically flinched when Helene got run over by the elk at 9:20. So hard to recover that health without food, which is why I like your hunting strategy. Haha Ember wanting fresh food, not the leftovers in the fridge. The way Helene snatched Loki. XD "We've got no health and no wakefulness.." *rival wolves howl ominously* Huh.. does biting the rival wolves take more of your health than being bitten? Is that why you didn't attack? Cyrus and Flicker no! They have to recover. ;w;

There was a time when I wouldn't have been terribly sad if Canyon got swiped by a random bear and Rieka got a new replacement mate. I remember how frustrating and useless he was in the beginning, how Rieka struggled to forgive him. I didn't think that bad mates could change, but Canyon somehow did, and it gave the story so much more depth. Gotta love the reformed character that you hate in the beginning, and miss more than anything in the end. :') Definitely one of my favorite wolves even though he was never perfect. (I feel like I'm giving a speech at a funeral-) As for the question of if Rieka should move on- I'm unsure. On the one hand I feel it would take time to heal from the loss, but she doesn't have a lot of time left to raise another litter either. After so much build up and all of the second chances Canyon got, it would seem a bit jarring for Rieka to be with anyone else. I would fear (and perhaps Rieka would as well) dying of old age before her next litter has been raised, and putting them and her second mate through another huge loss. On the other hand, maybe she does decide that she needs help with raising this litter, depending on how well it goes being a single parent. Maybe she takes a temporary trial mate and depending on how it goes, may decide to have another litter with him. Leave it up to the game to decide whether it's a good choice, or whether Rieka dumps him and goes back to her family pack. (Edit: I could also see Rieka taking pity on another lonely old soul, kind of like the situation with meeting Canyon. Perhaps she takes in another one star to keep her company and gives him a chance even if he ends up being a terrible choice.)

Hmm, what are the chances you'd be able to move this premiere to 30 minutes later? I also have a premiere at the same time and I don't want to miss this! I could also direct my viewers to come watch this one after. I understand if there's some timing conflict, though.
