They mostly come during the night. Maybe when your foot gets better we can set you up a cot. It is hit and miss with them because sometimes there is a 2-3 day gap between visits.

The deer started coming in to our neighborhood around 10 years ago. They have been one of the neatest things that ever happened in my life. I am able to call some by name now and they will come running to me for pets and loves. I lived in downtown Seattle, West Seattle and then South Seattle in Federal Way between 1975 & 1977. It was a neat time to be living there back then.

Funny thing, early in the morning yesterday, they came running in to my yard and a young yearling leaped over me in the cot. I saw her tummy go over me. Glad that she did not land on me. :)

Gary was the most creative pro active drummer I ever worked with. He jammed to the songs instead of just keeping a beat. He was only 19 at the time and had only been in bar bands and big band music before joining us.

When writing this song in 1975, I needed something to jam the solo with and I told the Bass player to play those notes for me to solo over. I did go and listen to Mr. Moustache and it is very similar, just a note or two different.

Yeah, this is the Dick Cavett television show that originally inspired the song: 12/5/74 ua-cam.com/video/-ufd-hUEijA/v-deo.html I had dozed off in my mother's basement with the Television on and I woke up with that show playing where David Bowie was talking about Black Noise. I originally wanted to write the song where nothing repeated itself from the start until the end and that is what all of those notes are about. I quickly gave up because that would be to much for me to memorize, especially if played live. That is how Black Noise was born. In 1976 Mondo Bando put the song together. Somewhere in my old box of cassette tapes from the 1970's, I have the very first recording with just the guitar part that I was first working on. Could you boil this all down to a few lines? Never heard of Jack Endino until now. Nirvana was still in grade school or Junior High when this song was recorded and being played live in the Seattle area. Not sure if you are implying that this is a fake or plagiarized from Nirvana and made long after the Seattle Grunge scene, but in fact, this was from around 1976 to early 1977 and recorded live over the air as it was being broadcast from the KILO radio station located in Kirkland, Washington. I actually wrote the music to this song in Spokane, Washington sometime in 1974 after watching David Bowie on the Dick Cavett show talking about Black Noise. 12/5/74. This version of the band got together in the winter of 1976 in Seattle after moving there in the summer of 1975. You can see this Band in Rock Scene Magazine January 1977 Page 53. We were not trying to be or copy anyone else, we just wrote songs how we wanted to and Seattle did not appreciate us during the disco music era. Some in Seattle to this day, still try to erase us from their history but it is to late for that. If anything, Nirvana stole it from us, via tape trading which I will take as a great compliment. I am sure many people taped that radio show and made copies because we are on the Ranker list of famous Seattle bands and referenced in several other publications of the time and yet, we never did release a record. Hey Sean, I am alive and mostly well to this day. Been really giving thanks that God plucked me out by the back of my neck from the music world and blocked my every attempt to get back in to it over the years. He finally had to disable my fret board index finger enough to stop me from playing. :) All I see is the destruction of so many people who were in the bands that I was involved in and others from back in the 1970's and even more people that I never knew. I still love the music and miss writing and playing it, but the rebellion and rage associated with it destroys many of the people who play it and their fans. God ended the band which was on the doorsteps of going huge (Mondo Bando) by removing me right when it was all going to happen for us and I left the band in 1977. I have been approached many times by record companies wanting to clean up the tapes and release an Official Mondo Bando LP but I don't have the energy to get that involved to do it. (People in the Seattle music scene to this very day still try to pretend that we never existed and remove our name from Wikipedia pages and refuse to let us be acknowledged because we never released a record even though we played there for 2 1/2 years.) 10 years later, I tried to reenter the music world and God blocked every effort. Right when things were happening, people would quit on me. Dies Irae which was really writing some good stuff and had the interest and personal involvement of Gary Mielke (associated with Supertramp) getting involved, was my last attempt in 1993-1994 and then I waved the white flag of surrender. I still marvel to this day about your awesome guitar work in "Dancing on Castle Walls" and was just listening to it again this week. Pure Top notch! I may get around to eventually telling my story and what it all cost me personally but I am a survivor because I escaped the fire early on, thanks to God closing every door that opened and yanking me out. I can say I have had a mostly calm, steady and prosperous life and retained my health and sound mind because of leaving that world. I have watched documentaries about what happened to so many huge bands and the stories are tragedy, death and ruin. I have been watching and reading about what became of all of the Seattle underground bands from my time and after, and it is the same story for many of them. So many were broken and broke with nothing to show for everything they put in to it. Many suicides and deaths at young ages. I dodged a bullet by getting out. Maybe we can talk old times soon. I still remember our many great hikes and have went back to those places almost every day for the past 30 years until I finally wore my feet out :). I see that you are in Coulee Dam, Wa. That will be an interesting story to hear. Some of my very first gigs were playing in Nespelem on the Indian Reservation just up the road at the Ketch Pen tavern in the early 1970's.
