Unfortunately not everyone has the money to hire a lawyer. The goal of the insurance company is to save as much money as they can and pay out as little as they can. It is the goal of the adjuster to make this happen. Most of the time they get away with it.

Law student… I’m wondering why they even brought up the pre-existing conditions. I thought the eggshell plaintiff rule said that previous ailments couldn’t be held against you to limit damages? Were they trying to claim that the arthritis caused the injury not the car crash originally? Or are you in a jurisdiction without this rule? Hi Arkady! I enjoy your videos so much! Your voice calms my nerves on a regular basis. I have a question about policy limits and the “worth” of a case. I understand there are SO many components that go into insurance claims and the outcome of the amount of pay outs, but if you have injuries that require medical treatments and are higher in pain and suffering value than the insured’s policy could you potentially see a settlement or verdict much higher than those policy limits? Are our cases only worth as much as those limits? My personal situation is I live in New York Was hit by a driver making a left turn as I was driving straight through an intersection with green light. My vehicle was totaled. Went to hospital via ambulance and got treatment and was released same day. Got chiropractic care have multiple disc herniations in neck upper back and have preexisting herniations in lower back which now cause pain. I also have multiple bulging discos throughout my spine. Diagnosed with myelopathy with cord compression and have radiculopathy in arm and leg from pinched nerves. Orthopedic surgeon suggests disc replacement surgery to 2 cervical discs. Have had trigger point injections to neck and steroid epidural to lower back. Also if this disc replacement surgery is suggested, but I am too afraid and do not pursue, will the case be worth less? I would love to hear your perspective on my personal situation and possibly hear if you’ve dealt with similar situations and what the outcome may have been. Thank you ! The depo was about 3 hours, a lot of it was asking questions, then more questions then going back to previous questions but asked in a different way. They tried long pauses hoping to get me to blab, being my best friend, etc., JUST LIKE your videos said.
