There was nobody like Talat. And this comes from a Rafian like me. I listen to Talat almost every day. 'Milte hi aankhein dil hua' from Babul (1950) is my all time favourite song by him. Jaayein to jaayein kahan, Shaam e g'am ki kasam, Ho ke majboor mujhe, Yeh hawa ye raat ye chandni.. the list is endless. It is a bit heartbreaking to learn how his focus on acting harmed his singing career. May be his wife pushed him in that direction, we will never know. Thanx Nitin for a memorable discussion once again.

मेरे मन में जो विषय हमेशा रहता है उसी विषय पर चर्चा रखी इसलिए धन्यवाद. अभिमान फिल्म के सभी गीत इतने श्रवणीय हैं की बार बार सुनने से भी मन नहीं भरता है. लेकीन फिर भी मेरा सबसे पसंदीदा गीत है जो पती पत्नी के रिसेप्शन में रखा हैं.आदरणीय लता जी के जो अन्य गायकों के साथ ड्युएट साॅंग्स हैं उनमे अलग अलग गायक के मेरे फेवरेट गानो में मुकेश जी के साथ फिल्म शोर का इक प्यार का नगमा है किशोर दा के साथ फिल्म आंधी का तेरे बिना जिंदगी से कोई यह गीत हैं तो रफी साहब के साथ गाये हुए गीतो में नंबर वन पर एक गाना चुनना कठीण हुआ इसलिए नंबर वन पर मैने दो गीत रखे जिनमे से एक हैं वादा कर ले साजना और नंबर वन पर ही दूसरा अर्थात तेरी बिंदिया रे मजरूह साहब की कलम को मन से सलाम हैं. क्या शब्द हैं... व्वाह... नयी नवेली दुल्हन ने परिधान किये हुए अलंकार को गीत में एक खूबसुरत माला की तरह पिरोया हैं. और अंतिम चरण में पत्नी कहती हैं की मेरा गहना सजन तुम तो से सजकर डोलू... और आखरी में पती पूछता हैं तो फिर क्या बोले हैं बोले हैं बोले हैं तेरा कंगना जवाब में पत्नी कहती हैं बोले रे अब तो छूटे ना तेरा अंगना.. यह पंक्तीया इतनी सुंदर हैं की प्रमाण देने के लिये शब्द नहीं हैं. गाव जाते हुए कार में यह गीत हमेशा सुनता ही हूॅं. और आज के विषय में आदरणीय शर्मा सर ने जो बाते बतायी वे शत प्रतिशत सही है. एक ही कलाकार के लिये अलग अलग गायकों की आवाज का प्रयोग इस के पूर्व फिल्म दो रास्ते में लक्ष्मीकांत प्यारेलाल जी ने किया था.और फिल्म ब्लॉकबस्टर भी हुई थी गाने आज भी सुने जाते है.
