I do this for your entertainment and I do not claim to be an expert. I just show some of the thing I try to do and try to fix. Not really a channel for anything specific. Just some pointers and ideas. Thank you for watching. Take care. Rick.
Water Cooler Repair Starter Relay and Overload Protector.
Fixed my water cooler that stopped cooling the water. I figured that I would give it a try for just under 10.00 dollars before buying a new one.
Part I used is this from Amazon

How to replace a broken wheel stud
Переглядів 78 тис.9 років тому
For your entertainment I show how I replace a broken wheel stud on a 2003 Dodge Neon that was brought over to me. There were actually 3 that I replaced. I suspect someone either over tightened by hand or more then likely ran them down with an impact.

1996 Impala SS P1441 Evap purge valve solenoid test
Переглядів 22 тис.9 років тому
On my 1996 Impala SS this valve is opened by the computer to allow fuel vapors to enter the combustion chamber. When bad it sometimes remains open or even slightly open. Mine set code P1441 Evap system flow during non-purge.
Harbor Freight side table
Переглядів 2,5 тис.9 років тому
you can have more work surface with the side table. It also folds down when not in use. One thing I started to do is sometimes I will take an old speaker magnet and stick it to the underside when in use. That way it doubles as a magnetic tray where the magnet is under that spot for the nuts and bolts.
Harbor Freight 30" pedestal fan

The fan is part# 47755. The locking swivel casters are part # 61854. I installed 4 casters on the bottom of the base.
Thank you very much!! Part ordered, installed and now working perfectly! Truly appreciate you Very easy install too
So was the water cold 🥶
THANK YOU for such a detailed video and dropping the link to order this part in your description.
How long passed after you changed the relax for it to cool off again?
Oh man, ordering now!! My machine was given to me maybe 5 months ago, and the cold water light has never worked, but the water was always cold. Ran out of water a week ago, just filled my 5 gallon, put it in, filled a cup of cold water…except it’s not cold. Thank you so much for this video! Hope it’s the fix mine needs 🤞🏻
Perfect video .everything I needed to know. Great job
@@BizzareSlam Thank you, I appreciate you taking the time to comment .
i just dig into my back panel & open the retaining plastic cover.my relay is toasted.does this means my compressor is broken?
Hi there mr ricardo!i haved the water dispenser.mine is not cooling but hot water works.u think we have the same issues?no blue light display on cooling indicator.& also where did u get your replacement parts?
He has the part linked in the video description
In modern cars where is this check valve, I can't find one on mine. I casually asked a mechanic, and he said you have to replace the entire fuel pump if check valve is bad, is this true? The fuel pump is one big ticket item ngl
Ricardo, I just was about to do the same ting but was going to purchase plarform already with casteers mounted on the bottom but your video showed my next idea. So now I'm about to put casters on my two Harbor Freight 30 inch floor fans. The fans are too big and bulky to move in the shop each time I desire to shift fan locations. I'll make a video later down the road. Have a fine week. 👍🏽🤠 05/24/24
Great idea - add the cost and HF Part.#s next time
I have a Culligan dispenser that we purchased at Costco. A few days ago I noticed the cold water was room temperature. Once in a while I would hear a relay click but the compressor would never start. Your video was very helpful showing how to disassemble the two parts. My compressor pins are opposite yours with two on the top and one below. The parts look identical to yours so it’s worth a try like you said. Again, thank you!
I appreciate the time you took to comment, I hope it works out for you.
How do I get the clip off?
Take your thumb and press on the back of the clip while your index finger pulls out on the fastened end. It fought me for a few minutes but when I discovered the secret no more problem.
Thanks for replying. I actually got it off. I did everything you did. The light still hasn't turned on for the cold water but we hear the noise of the compressor. I checked my water and its coming out cold. How long did it take the blue light to turn on for you?
I just took mine apart this afternoon. Got the parts ordered and they will be here Thursday. Yesterday I put a new pressure sensor in our Instant Pot. Amazon had one for $9.95 or two for the same price. Never hurts to have the parts on hand.
Great video
I appreciate your reply, take it easy.
UEI College uses this video to teach its students through online courses. Good job 👏
Thank you for taking the time to tell me. I appreciate it.
Thanks for this video. Hope it helps me too
I used this set up exactly as your friend. A lifesaver
Can you wire this switch with out a neutral?
thank you
Great Mine stop working and no light showing is it the same problem or something else? Thanks
Hey, i just opened my dispenser up and noticed my wiring is backwards on mine compared to yours ! Should i follow the same wiring when replacing the switches or go with yours? Could that be the culprit of not having cold water? On your video the red wire goes on the top switch where as mine goes on the bottom one. Any info appreciated
Hello, to be honest, I always keep everything the same as it came from the manufacturer. Sorry that I could not be more helpful. Take care.
I'm having problems taking the purge solenoid off. How is it bolted in?
Hello, if I remember correctly it is clipped into the bracket on the back side. If you have the new one you can see how it is connected. I am trying to remember but I think it has one bolt below the purge valve. Take a good look on the backside, facing the engine, you should be able to tell how the valve is held in. I hope this helps. Good luck and take it easy.
Cool… mine is not getting the water cold as well. I don’t hear the compressor turning on so hopefully this helps…
Good luck, I also hope it works for you. Take it easy.
Is it still working?
Yes, thanks for asking.
Thanks for your time!
Thanks a lot
What if i dont have that tool? Can i push the pin down?
Thank you sir
Great video! I’m going to give it a try. 👍🏻
Thanks for watching, good luck.
How fast/slow does the new pump lose pressure? Does it hold it rock-solid forever, or does it also bleed off?
When I turn off the car it would hold steady but at a lower pressure than when it is running.
Where can I buy the lid?
I am literally going through the same issue on my Mercedes. You saved me from buying this tool already made and sold on Amazon for $50. Thank you sir….. Life saver. Worked like a charm.
I am glad it helped and I do appreciate the comment. Take it easy.
Thanks for the help!!!
Hope it works out for you. Thanks for the comment . Take it easy.
Couldn’t this mean leaking injectors or a bad regulator as well?
You are correct, the fuel pressure regulator, I would agree. You would have to test the regulator. Mine did turn out to be the fuel pump. I would think a leaking fuel injector would probably give you a rich condition fault, seeing how fast the gauge dropped when I shut power to the pump. My situation was as long as I powered the pump on, I did not lose pressure. I only lost pressure when I shut power to the fuel pump. I do appreciate your comment because I believe it can help others out by checking the options you suggested. Thank you and take care.
What part did you buy to fix this? I’m looking to do this currently
Thank you for watching, on my car it was the evap. purge valve solenoid I changed. Make sure the vacuum hose is not cracked or broken. Good luck and take care.
@@RNMcustom I’m thinking my situation should be like yours fingers crossed. The car starts and runs alright it just idles higher than usual and I get that check engine code
Jacob Jolly, fingers are crossed but also check the vacuum hose. What car are you working on?
Thanks for the video, I am working on a similar project, my bathroom has light switch but not wall outlet,
Thanks for the comment, I am not a professional but check to make sure if you should use it in the bathroom because I believe you need a GFI in a bathroom. Take it easy.
Can I drive with a bad check valve? I dont mind priming it 2-3 times to start
Yes you can but in theory the fuel pump is stressed more. But worst case you have to replace the fuel pump which you have to anyway, since the check valve is located inside the pump housing.
@@xynostasos9022 Ive seen people just cut part of their gas line out and put a check valve in. Ive been driving it by priming it a few times to start. Almost 5k miles now so far no problem too lazy to cut a line to put a new check valve in
@@IVIusicMayhem I have this problem since I bought the car used, over 8k miles still no issue. Car has over 190k miles and service history tells me the fuel pump has never been replaced since new, 20 years. In my case, the fuel pump is under the back seat so I can't just jack the car and install a valve on the underside. I can probably install one in the engine bay before the injectors but that's more risky as if the connection comes loose it can make a good flame show.
@@xynostasos9022 my car is 10 years old with 150k miles this is taken care of by my family bought brand new. I need to find a jack and eventually install it, I bought it already but haven't found the time to do it. Also scared I cut the wrong line
GREAT THANK-YOU.. YOU REALLY HELPED ME!!! DOINg THE SAME THING, REMOVING CV SM NIPPLE TYPE SHAFT HHR transmission

The "hot" wire from breaker seemed to change position when you came back. It was on the left when you identified it with the multimeter. Or maybe the way you described the wires differed after you came back.
I appreciate the comment, while off camera I moved the wires to better orientate them for connecting them to the switch. Sorry if this caused any confusion. Take it easy.
@@RNMcustom Thanks.

Electric tape is important thank you for sharing your video and helping others I'm old school
😳😲🤦🏿♂️
I keep asking this question but no one is answering. (Hot) Load from panel goes to common on switch White (neutral) connects silver terminal and light fixture off the switch. Black (load) connects brass terminal to light fixture. But there's 4 wires. This accounts for 3. Where does the neural (white) from the panel go?
Thanks, with your help I was able to replace my furnace cutoff switch with an outlet/switch combo. I needed a power outlet for a UV-C furnace air sanitizer. Job completed successfully.😊
Thank you for leaving a comment, take care.
@@RNMcustom These switches can be used for a garbage disposal.
@@kwinters5550 I don't know , sorry.
@@RNMcustom I know that because we went to someone's house, and they had an outlet/switch combo for their garbage disposal in their kitchen.
Thanks Ricardo, this was a better explanation than the Leviton video 😎

What about one hot and one neutral wire
