Hahaha this is cool to see- I had to immediately learn this bassline right after I heard it too! I used to struggle so much and was totally lost when it came to basslines. I'm still a beginner, but a few things I started learning to incorporate that REALLY helped were 1) effective use of chord tones, 2) importance of phrasing (both rhythmic and melodic, but ESP the former), and syncopation. To me this bassline is a prime example of how infectious a bassline can feel, just making good use of those basic components.
Thank you for this mate, I really appreciate your insight.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This video is a really good analysis of the tune!! Your sense of humor is subtle and dry, cracked me up with “to that I say, get a life.” Subscribed!!
Nice comment! Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate it. Peace
Thank you man, feels great to be able to play a song I love so much
love your videos! can you please try to teach Clairo - Juna?
Amazing! Thanks so much for putting this up.
Hey! Thank you very much for your tutorials. @5:12 I was wondering why you could add a sharp 9 when playing the B7 flat 13 because it seems the B7 chord functions as a phrygian secondary dominant meaning that a flat 9 is to be expected along with the flat 13 (so C as the flat 9 instead of D as a sharp 9).
Serious music lesson...thanx
Thankyou

Hahaha love it. If Spaven is tanking it on drums 😂🙌🏼❤️🔥
Hey, I find it really difficult finding the chords. Could you please write it down quickly in a sheet? Thank you so much!
Not really a tutorial is it?
That is exactly right…I was joking around with this one. I usually explain everything in my tutorials. This one is a red herring (turn of phrase)
It's 5 notes dawg figure it out😭
4 actually, even easier😭😭
Brilliant. This is the first time I've found anyone explaining the bridge chords. Thanks a lot.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks
That is so cool, thanks
Hey can you do Alfa mist coasting for me? I rewatch it everyday lol. My unsolicited opinion: do tutorials for more popular music that also fits into your taste, you’ll get more views. For example with Alfa mist any song from Bring Backs live, and the song Keep On are likely to generate a lot of views because they have over 2.9 mil views each
Nice tip. I’ll give that a try…Thanks for engaging
Great tutorial. Misch's songs seem to be inspired from 4-bar loops and by constantly jamming over it he comes up with a multitude of ideas which he then 'sculpts' /mutes/ re-harmonises and moulds it at the mixing stage ... it's an 'earworm' of a tune. Instantly catchy, very lean.
are you able to do hopes & dreams by jordan rakei off his new album? :)
Could you please upload a full cover so I know the rythm of the chords and pattern? Awesome tutorial!
I’d love to hear more Tom Misch from Beat Tape 2
Thanks man, you‘re QUICK!

Have you heard Loyle Carters new release "A Lasting Place (Royal Albert Hall)"? - you'll like it! playalong maybe?
For sure…coming up.
