Hey, my name is Burke, and this is my channel. You will find a variety of projects here, basically everything I fix, build or make around the house I try to video and put it up.
I have been into building and DIY basically my entire life. I have found that I can usually do any project around the house as good as the pros, for less money.
I have a lot of shop organization that needs to happen around other projects I have lined up.
Please let me know if you have any questions, or even tips for better videos - I'm open to suggestions!

Make: LED WOODEN CLOCK
I made two of these digital LED wood clocks for my two sons for Christmas - they loved them.
I built the boxes out of 3/4" plywood and put maple veneer over the box.
The LED clock shines brightly through the wood maple veneer - very happy with the results.
I took some inpsiration from the I Like to Make Stuff video here:

If you would like to build you own digital LED wooden clock, hopefully this video gave you some good ideas and inspiration!

Awesome Farmhouse Doll Bed for American Girl Size Dolls 18"
Переглядів 35 тис.9 років тому
I made this really cool farmhouse style doll bed for my daughters American Girl dolls - but it will work for any of the 18" size dolls out there. My mother-in-law made the mattress, blanket and pillow. The bed is made from cheap pine and sanded. The mattress is a piece of foam sewn into a fabric case. You can get plans for this bed here: www.ana-white.com/2010/11/doll-farmhouse-bed Please leave...
Mobile Miter Saw Station on Rolling Tool Cart - Part One
Переглядів 3,7 тис.9 років тому
Miter Saw Station on a Rolling Tool Cart I have a very small shop, so my tools need to be portable so that I can roll them out into the main part of the garage while doing a project. My miter saw has been mounted on a base that came with it when I purchased it. It is inconvenient to move and to low to work with comfortably. I had this idea to build a miter saw station on the bottom part of my r...
How to Install a New Fluorescent Ballast
Переглядів 3,6 тис.9 років тому
So when I started this project my intent was to replace a ballast in the fixture above our cabinet that was buzzing and driving us crazy. However, the project changed direction after a visit to the home improvement store and I could not find a T12 ballast in the size I needed - mostly because they are being phased out for the T8. It turns out that a new light T8 light fixture was basically the ...
How to Seal Granite Counter Tops - Quick & Easy!
Переглядів 36 тис.9 років тому
How to seal your granite counter tops, quickly and easily! We have lived in our house for about 2 years, and we have never sealed our granite counter tops. Honestly it was a DIY project that I had been putting off for some time. Finally, I bit the bullet and got it done. It was a much easier job than I expected it to be. I used Weiman products that I picked up at the local Target store. Weiman ...
I am just looking into building one for myself. What strenght of veneer did you use?
Did you find that you needed to trim the wood from the plans? BTW great job
hey I found this and really liked it, looks like you aren't making videos anymore but this one was great
Can I do the same procedure with quartz?
I did something like this a month ago with plans from Woodglut.
Wonderful project and what a great guy 🙏🏻👍🏻
Great diy
Do you or could you make these beds in sections [all the gluing and brad nails done] to where they could be purchased and we could finish assembling them and painting them. If so what would be the cost.
What happened to part two?
Have you noticed a difference in the countertops since sealing it? The granite seems more lively to me after the sealer, but I could not really tell from the video.
I was wondering the same thing.. any difference (good or bad)
Gotoosleep
I love the bed it super cute
*Enjoy using this product in my kitchen>>> **allabout.wiki/w85v** I like that I do not have to worry about messing up the surface, since the product is made for granite. It works well and does not leave streaks. As a plus it also smells like grapefruit.*
Do you have cut list for doll bed?
Супер! Очень красивые часы.
good job. I learned some stuff.
Awesome! That bed would cost a small fortune on the American Girl Doll website.
Where the measurements correct? I know you mentioned earlier in the video that the measurements were off. In the end when you were putting the base for the slats for the mattress, did you measure incorrectly or were the measurements on the plans incorrect? You did a great job on this bed.
It's been a while. Got any new projects coming up?
Great video thanks for sharing
what were your wood measurements?
It's a really nice bed
Great job. What is that saw that you cut the plywood base with?
I really like how you did it now I will have to try it thank you
I wish my dad knows how to make stuff for dolls:(
10:45 the display isnt centered...
AT 11:08 you can see that it is centered when the PM indicator is lit up. Its a tough call what exactly to use to center with.
Thanks! Wanted someone else's take on the sealer
This would make a nice headboard accessory
I have safety concerns: 1) the clock is likely to attract children, and an open side allowing fingers into the wiring harness is a recipe for disaster. 2) An over heated diode or other component could start the wood on fire. If I were you I would recall this gift.
super work...I love this
best pencil ever
Meh I'll wait tel I'm 13 and diy
I wish my dad could build be a doll house but his shop closed 😔

Why you didn't just purchase a clock kit from eBay for the same price of the clock you got from the store? Not sure what you're using to film but if it's a DSLR you can attach a stereo microphone on it and the audio would be much clearer. Great video. I like how the clocks turned out!
+Ken C Sorry for the late reply - right now I am just using my iPhone for video which is what is causing the audio problems. I could have done the eBay route, but these were so cheap and easy!
How much did all the wood cost you to buy??
+Denise Filsinger If you purchase the "common" pine boards at someplace like Lowes, the wood should be under $10. You will have more knots and "character" with this wood, and some say it looks great - I have even built a bed using this, and really liked the look. For the bed in the video I used "Select" which is a higher quality pine, with less knots and blemishes. Even still this wood was under $20 for the one bed. Thanks for asking, let me know if you have any other questions!
I have been wanting to make one of these for a wile! I love the cover image and logo on your page. you earned another subscriber!
Thank you so much for the nice comment! Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for subscribing!
+Burke does DIY any time. looking forward to future goodness.
Nice project. I have never used veneer or contact cement either. At one time I had thought about making a clock like this but making the wood super thin for the clock face. I wound up not doing it because I thought that by the time the clock shone through, the wood would be too weak. I like this solution much better and might try this method sometime.
+CFB Creations I thought about that as well, like taking the router and hogging it out until there was a super thin layer left. The veneer was much easier! Thanks for checking in!
Thats a great project. Thanks for sharing. Hope to see more of your videos.
Thanks Bill! I really appreciate the nice comment.
Great job. Love it.... Going on my To-Do list...
+Shane's Hobby Shop Thanks for the kind words! It was a really fun project!
These look great! Good job.
+lunoxx Thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it.
Nice job on the clock......the video narration was spot on too.
+Bruce Fleury Thanks for the nice comments, glad you enjoyed the video. It's my first time to try the voice over! I need a better mic for when I want to "talk" on video - I'm working on that! Thanks again!
Looks good! I'll have to add this project to my growing to-do list. Ha ha!
Thanks for the comment. Glad you liked it. It was a really fun build!
+Burke does DIY Would you mind if I feature a clip of your LED clock build video on the count-down show: Woodworking Top Videos?
+Awesome Wood Things that would be more than great! You're welcome to it!
