Recipe: Buffalo Wild Wings
Ingredients:
For the Wings:
• 2 lbs chicken wings (separated into drumettes and flats)
• 1 tsp baking powder (for extra crispiness)
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• ½ tsp black pepper
For the Buffalo Sauce:
• ½ cup hot sauce (Frank’s RedHot is ideal)
• 4 tbsp unsalted butter
• 1 tbsp white vinegar (optional for extra tang)
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional for more heat)
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Wings
1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) or set up your fryer/air fryer.
2. Pat wings dry with a paper towel and toss in baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and pepper. This helps the skin get crispy.
Step 2: Cook the Wings
Oven Method:
• Place wings on a baking rack over a lined sheet tray and bake for 45-50 minutes, flipping halfway.
Frying Method:
• Heat oil to 375°F (190°C) and fry wings in batches for 8-10 minutes, until crispy.
Air Fryer Method:
• Arrange wings in a single layer and air-fry at 400°F (200°C) for 25-30 minutes, shaking the basket halfway.
Step 3: Make the Buffalo Sauce
1. In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in the hot sauce, garlic powder, and vinegar until fully combined. Adjust heat with cayenne pepper, if desired.
Step 4: Toss & Serve
• Place the cooked wings in a large bowl, pour the sauce over, and toss until evenly coated. Serve immediately with celery sticks and your favorite dipping sauce.
