Crocheted Towel Rings - How They Work
In this video, I show the dimensions of finished towel rings and exactly how they work. Crocheted Towel Rings were designed for kitchen use, for tea towels, hand towels, or dish towels. They will not hold a larger size towels. I use a size H crochet hook and a thicker 4 ply worsted weight yarn. You can adjust your hook size to obtain the measurements shown in the video.
***I used size I hook in video by mistake. In all towel ring patterns I use size H hook.

Crocheted Friendship Bracelets With Beads

Crocheted Friendship Bracelets With Beads
I can't do this. All I want to do is crochet a piece of lace using a chain stitch and keep the stitches the same size. That's it. But all of the videos I've looked at use terminology that I don't know and don't bother to explain any of it, so I can't follow the simplest tutorials. And my work keeps turning while I"m working with it because I can only make stitches while holding the material in my left hand and turning the chain to the side because it's easier to get the thread through. I can't do it any other way. My grandmother tried to teach me to crochet when I was a kid and I absolutely hated it because it was too difficult to make a chain the way it's usually done--and I was told it had to be done that way. I gave up and left the room in tears, and now I wish I'd never bothered to try again and I"m considering throwing all my materials in the trash.
@@dresdenclineinkpot7443 Don't throw it all away. Email me crochetbyshawn@gmail.com. Let me know some of the terminology you are having a hard time understanding, and I can explain it in detail. We might be able to figure out a way for you to crochet the way it works best for you. If you can, send me a short video of you crocheting and I can start to help you from there. Keep your chin up. It will work ok.

This is a few years old video, but this is so helpfull! Tysm!
Hi
Love the way you teach it easy!! It's very understanding for beginners like me. Thanks
@@lemexvrg. You are very welcome. So glad you are enjoying the videos and learning.
Thank you so much! I am trying this out now
@@sarahnorris872 You are very welcome. Enjoy.
❤
Thank you.
Love you way of teaching.
Thank you. So glad you enjoy.
I just happened across this, I was googling towel toppers...this is GREAT!! I love how you follow thru each row instead of meeting us at the end of the row. I made these instead of the connected towel topper. Thank you for saving me time
@@christygunter1941 You are very welcome. I'm so glad you enjoyed this project. I love being able to mix and match my towels with the rings and no messy buttons.
Like this and how easy it is to make.

Perfect!

You are very welcome. So glad you enjoy them.
Very nice tutorial. Made one foe my neighbor. Thanks ❤
You are very welcome. So glad you enjoy the pattern.
Why do you use yarn, l always use crochet thread, always very neat, yarn is harder to crochet with
Thanks for your opinion. So why are you looking at a yarn pattern then? You need to find one that uses thread.
To fast and not good focus ugh
Thank you so much for your opinion. These videos are free and done on my own free time. If you would like to donate better equipment and pay for my time, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Thank you for getting down to business at least you’re not giggling and telling us your personal business and what your dogs have done
You are very welcome.
Do you have to use the back bump?
That is up to you. I use the back bump as it creates a clean finished edge in the ring.

What yarn cotton, acrylic or blend?
I used Hobby Lobby's "I Love This Yarn". It's a 4 ply worsted weight yarn.
@@crochetbyshawn2407 but my question is is it cotton acrylic or blended?
Found my answer. Thx
@@marthatorres3023 I used acrylic.
I was told that it had to be 100 % cotton to be able to use it in the microwave ? Easy to follow. .
You put the cover on the bowl AFTER it's been heated in the microwave.
Oh ok thanks I'm still new to crochet
Hi I have been watching your videos and I find them very helpful I am very new at crochet and I wanted to learn how to make this sprout crochet pattern and was wondering if you would make a video I find ur videos very helpful thank you again!
I've been looking into "sprout" crochet. The three most popular are the sprout crochet stitch, the beginning sprouting of a plant and brussel sprouts (like mini cabbages). Which one are you looking for?
Do you go through just the chain 4 when making the trebles,or also the doubles?
Just the trebles go through the 4th chain. Go through the 3rd chain for doubles.
Oh the months I’ve been practicing with my projects becoming curly messes! Believe it or not I’ve never heard of this! I am pretty sure I may be yanking…..THANKS
I’m so wowed by the beauty

Thank you so much ! Love this so much better then the other kind of Biwl cozy
You are very welcome. So glad you enjoyed this project.
I want to compliment you on your no nonsense approach to your crocheting! You are not giggly you just get down to business! I’m an old crocheter for many years and now my hand are misshapen and sore from arthritis. Small projects are great for me. Thank you so much and I really like the fact I don’t have to work with sewing on buttons!❤😊
Thank you. And you are very welcome!
I’ve tried many different patterns to make these and this by far the most efficient! Super easy/quick to make. Thank you!
You are very welcome. I'm so glad you enjoy them
Thank you for this pattern! I have been searching low and high for this and yours is so easy to understand! ❤
Thank you and you are very welcome.
Very nice video👌🏻
Thank you!!!!! Love the playlist😊
Love this
In the first video, you said to use an H hook. Why the change to I?
Just a mistake. Picked up the wrong hook before I started the video. I use size H hook in making all my towel rings. You can use either one for the size you want. The I hook will be slightly larger.
Cute!
Do you have a video that shows a better close up when you do the ch 4, count back then through the first loop?? Not sure what you mean on the chain to go through both loops.
You can watch the Treble Crochet Foundation Row Video as it shows up closer and shows going through "both loops" of chain. Also, I have a Double Crochet Foundation Row Video that will help with the 2nd towel video. Both videos are in the playlist now.
There isn’t two loops in a chain
Such a nice tutorial. Thanks 👩
You’re welcome 😊
When I make bowl cozy I use cotton yarn
Nice. You can use which ever yarn works best for you.
Would there be a way of making these with elastic hair bands for the circle?
You can try it. Just make sure you wash and dry it by hand so the elastic doesn't become brittle and break. Let me know if it works.
What number is H hook?
H=8
5
❤️❤️❤️
How can I do this left handed?
Hello…thank you so much for this pattern…my towel continuously falls to the floor… made a couple of these…completed using half double stitch to make it a stiffer…wonderful idea!!!
Wonderful!
Also, it looked better when I did not count ch 3 as first dc.
Thank you for this video. I had to do the first chain with a hook a size bigger to be able to crochet in the back hump on the first row.
I'm going make some of those this eveing
