This would be a great video. if it wasn't for the back ground music that is in the fore ground. Why is there music playing over the confrontation?

As I get older I try to listen more, I also try to give benefit of the doubt. I don't think it was the best start to an encounter on both sides. Once you both wind each other up its hard to unwind the situation. Did they express any legitimate opinions or questions?

Oh how much more relaxing and enjoyable was this ride. 🤩 Though I understand that for the purposes of the other video the speeded up version worked well. The views are awesome and majestic, though some of those dropoffs looked really scary ! I hadn't realised the Pass was so long - how many kilometres was it ? 💙🦋

What a beautiful place is Lake Como, Freya certainly enjoyed her swim with the whole Family. Loved the church bells, so evocative. The views are just breathtaking, what a lovely trip you're doing. How magnificent - a storm over the mountains 💙🦋

As someone who has never watched one of your videos before, I'm just playing devil's advocate. It's pitch dark in the middle of nowhere and a van pulls up not far from these people's home. They must have been concerned as to what intentions you had. The lady had her dog for protection it seems and that got your ire up. I don't blame them for investigating but once the man saw it was you with your family then he could have toned it down and just have wished you a pleasant night.

We stayed on a campsite just outside of Eguisheim in June 2013. We loved it, the round town. Thank you for sharing as it brought back memories. Did you see the Storks on their rooftop nests?

The number of times when hiking in my early years i came across an ILLEGAL "PRIVATE" SIGN ! Carry on camping. The roads belong to the public who PAID FOR and PAY TO MAINTAIN (?) them at great expense more than is spent on them by the corperation allocated to do the work. The difference goes where ??????😮

We've lived in our van for nearly 4 years, camping wild 99% of the time all over the UK, and have thankfully never had anyone aggressive knock at our door. We did once have a church-y bloke let rip, though, yelling that we didn't have permission to park in the church field (we did actually, but he wouldn't stop yelling long enough for us to tell him!) but he ended up coming back later to apologise. Twice 😂 Ironically, I was the victim of an armed robbery when I lived in a flat, which screwed me up for a couple of decades. Van life has restored my faith in people - 99% of people are lovely and very interested in our life on the road, and we've met more people since living in a van than we ever did settled in one area. Sorry you had this horrendous experience but rest assured it's unlikely that anything like this will happen to you again. Hope that helps a bit x P.S I would 100% go to the police about him, as you have his face on video - they might know of him and be waiting for his next slip-up, or he might do the same thing to someone else who can't fight their corner so well as you did.

Awfull company to deal with. The products are good,well made,function well,but,if anything goes wrong,they are awfull! Take ages to answer queries,and when they do bother to reply,it's " valued customer,we will do everything to adress your question...they don't they just keep sending "dear valued customer " yeah,you've said 6 times now and you still haven't solved my problem...

It almost seemed as if you were following that lady cyclist 😂 How are you coping with driving on the "wrong" side of the road? No excuse for his behaviour, I predict if they are local they have had some bad experiences regarding wild camping,thus tarring us all with the same brush. You did the right thing by standing your ground as I would have felt very threatened in your situation.

I know ive just written War and Peace 😂, but I just wanted to add. I think the best method in this situation is to not leave the van, and definitely don't go outside. I understand that you are protecting your family, but if whoever is outside do get the better if you if it turns nasty, and there may be more that one, then there's no one to protect your family. Just my take on it. I'll stop writing now😁👍

Hi. I've just watched this video. What is wrong with people! I can understand that people may have had problems in the oadt with inconsiderate campervan owners, but you cannot think we arecall the same. And to come knocking during the hours if darkness, whatever the time, is not on. At leadt they could have waited until daylight if whst they had to say is that important. You can obviously handle yourself (even so, not nice to have to deal with) but your poor wife and child, must have been frightening for them both. You handled it very well. We'd have done what you did ( providing not physical assault or damage to van was done, then it would gave been a police involvement) and moved on. We are like you, and I hope the majority of vanners, just wantbto get away from it all for some peace and quiet not maje any trouble or mess. Its the don't give a damn type that upset people, like had obviously happened to this guy before. Anyway you look like a nice family im sure you won't let it put you off. We've subscribed now and wiil watch your vids from the start. 🙂👍

I generally stay calm ask them are they having a bad day would they like a cup of tea this puts them on the back foot because they're not expecting it but on one occasion a guy pulled at my sleeve that's assault he ended up on his back and I held him until the police arrived

I think there is an increasing number of people in this society who have a toxic combination of being utterly miserable, bored and entitled. Rather than find some meaning in their lives, like you and your family clearly have, they like to impose their chronic unhappiness on other people. Especially people whom they see doing something fulfilling and positive. It's a form of jealousy I think. Anyway, regards and best of luck from Dublin, Ireland.
