the expiry starts from the day you open it, it should have a little indication of a box with a digit over it, it depicts the expiry date from the date of opening the product. Mine was not brown but was orangish-yellow :)

I am not sure if I can answer that, because CT is an expensive foundation, I'd recommend for you to try it before investing in a full size product and committing to it. :)

Kay Beauty lip oil is good and if you want something with a bit of colour, maybe you can try the Maybelline Vinyl lip gloss, that's good too and offers a range of colours x
