You are never going to cast it, you sideboard it in instead of Emrakul if it's a matchup where the lifegain will 100% win (like burn). You Transmogrify into it.

@@AlexRose-qd3or unfortunately I would not recommend playing this deck with Emrakul at that price point. Could consider Archon of Valors Reach, maybe something like Koma but I think at that point Oath of Druids is likely a better method for cheating it out

@@30vintagemtg do you think progenitus is any good in the slot? It’s protection makes it virtually impossible to deal with on early turns and impossible to prevent damage except by fog effects It ends the game in two turns if left unanswered and it’s pretty hard to answer It also has the shuffle back into library clause so you can faithless looting it back into your library

Prices are determined by the cheapest tournament legal printing of a card. If that happens to be a foil that's fine. There's no requirement to play the same printing of a card as is used for pricing. You can play foils, Secret Lairs, alpha Lightning Bolts, etc!

High tide is great, I top 8'd our 33 person Win a Taiga event last March with it. I wouldn't register it currently, I don't like sitting down across from Hymn to Tourach based aggro or white decks with Thalia, Elite Spellbinder and White Plume Adventurer. Quick clock + disruption is tough for Tide and I expect to see a lot of both at any large event.

I like it! I'm not much of a dredger myself so I don't have great insight. My initial thought is maybe it's a little light on actual creatures you want to play to close out the game. I don't think casting Master or Squee is great so it's really mostly just the Rootwallas. Maybe sneak a playset of Poxwalkers in there? They come back off of madness casts!
