Mtb riding & the stunning places I ride in
Crazy Day at Hebden Bridge#mtb #orange P7#hardtailmtb
Decided to do something different at Hebden Bridge, with mixed results & and a couple of misshaps so then reverted back to known trails & ultimately had an enjoyable day considering, sometimes its hard to drag yourself out of the door in the winter but it always helps to meet with like minded people to get motivated

Marsden & Beyond

Ride we did in 2nd week in December, turned out to be a good day although cold was creeping in towards end of ride, conditions were as to be expected wet, windy & plenty of mud, always good riding around Marsden, bit disappointed with the 'repairs' to Ramsden Road turning an evolved natural feature into a sand & gravel road? can't afford new schools though
Baildon-St Ives with NEO Drone #Orange #mtb #Hardtail #followme #yorkshire

I have been recovering from a Broken bone in my Hand & a chipped shoulder blade which I got from an OTB in early Nov so I decided to take my DJI NEO drone for a local ride to see how it would perform, as I had to take it steady due to my injury I expected the NEO to follow me at the lower speed & it performed very well but I am not so impressed with the video quality that you get when it is fly...
Eastern Moors Devils Elbow Curbar edge

Trip to the Peak district, somewhere a bit different from my normal Dales rides although I thought this was my first time here Strava told a different story & I had been down Devis Elbow once before, couldn't remember any of it, that's the benefit of old age every trail is a new one 😄 the riding around here is excellent & acouple of weeks later I was back again this time in the reverse of this ...

another great day in the Yorkshire Dales, it's an outstanding area with fantastic views & different types of terrain & is always a joy to ride on natural trails whether it's uphill or descending
Big Day Lakes
Переглядів 1744 місяці тому
A wet day in the Lakes ( who'd have thought?) started out as a group of 6 & ended as 3 groups of 2 after a puncture on the quarry downhill, despite the dampness & people running races just where we wanted to ride a good day out, if you aren't into mob just watch this video for the fantastic scenery which is the real star of the Lake District

Well we had some fun on this one, ankle deep in a bog, going off Piste & climbing the steepest footpath with the bikes & having a good laugh # Hebden #Stoodley Pike #hightower #mountainbiking

Nice one Malcolm. 👍
All ive got left is a massive hope, for me to be able to ride my mountain bike again like I have done for a lot of my life. Until unfortunately I feel like I have slept a heck of a lot of my life? So I will just have to do even better than my best cause it has been useless. Cause I became invisible❓
To be honest dude the minute you went off road you sounded very unfit.
Thanks for the comment, Does that mean you think I should stay on the road?
Great video Malcolm 👍
She just needed more momentum then it would have been easy for her stay on trails as you will not regret it the scenery alone is worth it
Have a GPX file of the route or strava link?

Great video, which woods at 7.00 mins ?
@@gregorydobson4307 Hirst woods
@@gregorydobson4307 correction, down through Shipley Glen
Thank you
Nice loop, think I'll give it a go, thanks for posting 😊
Hi, thinking about getting a bike and doing a little of that. What bike do you have ?? Thanks
Orange P7 hardtail, 150 travel Rockshox Pike fork 27.5 in wheels, goes anywhere, great to get out in the countryside
Be good to see gpx I have ridden all those trails but not in the same sequence looks a good day out.
strava.app.link/Gfr1BZMTDMb
Yes always a good day in lakes don't do it enough, if we did we might even get a dry one😂
Good technical ride , can I ask what your garmin readings are cause you always sound knackered 😂
That's cos I'm Old 😫 usually gets better into the ride
Another good one Malcolm 👍
Thanks Martin
Another good one. I'd forgotten how wet the day was - but still good fun.
Looks great, d'you have a GPX of the route?
strava.app.link/FhFoSQZtTLb
@@MHYSTmtb brilliant, thanks v much
Nice one. Done most of that route on our gravel bikes. Hopefully do it soon on the mountain bike.
@Ecoroof1986 yeah Rode it on my hardtail must say it's a bit easier on the full sus
Down to kebroyd from norland ?
Good one! Keep 'em coming! 👍
Thanks! Will do!
Great video Malcolm. We'll have to repeat the Langsett to Cutgate stretch again before the summer's over.
Agreed
Its a cracking section and steeper than it looks 👍. That first section with all the greenery almost covering the path 😱. Nice vid 👍
Thanks 👍
Film should be renamed "The hills above and surrounding Sowerby Bridge" The only time Sowerby Bridge is actually seen is in the last few seconds !!!!
I was over at Sowerby to visit Cycle Fast bike shop to have my seat post removed (great service). Instead of waiting I did a route AROUND Sowerby using a GPX route on my Garmin hadn't a clue where I was so that's my excuse
Hi mate, this ride looks ace, any chance of a gpx route file for this ride?
Hi Ive put a link in the description to my Strava you should be able to get it from there
That could have been fun if you'd ended up in the canal. It looks like the type of stunt I often pull though I've yet to do it next to a canal.
I was lucky 😂
This is some of my favourite riding 👍
Same here!
Great video Malcolm 👍
Thanks 👍6
Looks a great ride that mate 👍🏼
Thanks 👍
Where have I seen that brake cable before
Can't think 🤔
Are you on Strava by any chance? Wouldn’t mind nicking some routes
Do you have a gpx of this route?
Pateley_Bridge_To_Appletreewick.gpx
I saw one of the deer at 6:51
havent seen the other one yet
Both there😁
Getting to the top of nab hill without putting a foot down has been a challenge of mine for a while 😂😂
Good luck with that, I don't hold out much hope myself think I once got half way when it was dry 😂
Great Video, I've managed to do this route twice and really enjoyed it.. the cafe was open on one ride, what about that hell of a climb from the farm and up through the woods, I only managed to get to the top because I was on my Ebike and I was still blowing out my backside.. Keep Up The Cadence 👏👍
Not kidding about the K2 climb, you did well to get up even with an bike, too slick to even push up when we did it apart from that it makes a good winter ride, thanks for the feedback 👍
I managed to zig-zig all the way up.. In Turbo mode..
Great video, it covers 3 of my regular rides.. I don't know if you know, at 12:57 in the video, if you'd turned right then left behind the ruined building and continued onwards, you would come to the Top of the New Havoc Bike Trails.. I'm going to check out more of your videos now for some inspiration on more rides.. Keep Up the Cadence..👍👏
Thanks for the info!
Do you have the route for this?
got a GPX file if you've got a way to receive it?
Wheelie you don’t get wet. Just don’t slip lol.
Sweet video, nice one!
Thank you! Cheers!
great video. i enjoyed it, especially the part where you went over high stream of water.
Glad you enjoyed it
Thats not a wet day, that is a regular day in good old england
I reckon it's south liek devon or Cornwall
Good old Yorkshire Dales
That’s sick bro. Love.
Looks like a nice ride!
Rugged Rawtenstall ❤ shame you went up the fairy steps and not down, as you say, give it another go tje opp way in spring 😎👍
Watched your UA-cam of it (afterwards), I'd prefer going down than up, can always take some good from any ride though 👍
@@MHYSTmtb absolutely, I had a crap ride last week and it wasn't until a couple of hours after the ride that I reflected and thought, you know what, that wasn't too bad 😉👍
Yeah any chance of the qpx or strava link
Sorry mate I just follow the leader, we went wrong way anyway 🤷♀️
That's great. Be nice to see a GPX of this
Great video, it's good to see my local trails. After you climbed over the Big Cobble Stones up to Hameldon, instead of going straight on like you did, you could have gone through the Gate on your Right and crossed the moor towards the Golf Ball. At the Last Gate before the Ball you turn Left, then Loop round on the Right Trail and it will bring you to the Fairy Steps.. please keep the videos coming..👍
Thanks for the kind words, will give that a go preferably in the spring, always on the lookout for new trails
Nice trip 😅😊
Thanks! 😃
Brilliant, most people are ok with it, your quite polite as well, nice calming background music.
Thanks, just find it amusing how some people react, and it was a nice day
If your ever in Sowerby bridge again call in to see us to say hi.
You need a louder 🔔
If I can hear it it must be loud enough already?
Excellent dismount
Glad you think so!
Hi, I'm based in Rawdon 👍 Please can you tell me how to get onto the first section in your video, I'm not sure which part of the chevin it is? Thanks in advance
I'm also in Rawdon and don't have a clue where any of the stuff is I've seen at the chevin 🤦
What was that man wearing 😮
I did this trail few years ago for the forst time was surprised how good it was
Happiest salutations upon your birthday my good fellow, hope you have a bery pleasant day
