Do My Snakes Roam Around My House??

Do My Snakes Roam Around My House??
thx i been going through a potencial next pet and i seen spiders and legged reptiles and am now wondering if a snake isnt a good option to get. at first i wanted to get a spider but it seems there not good pets to take out often all people say they prefur to be left along and have no interest in beeing takin out so there not a good option for a pet for me. a last question how often is it good or oke to take a snake out for some interaction time?
I really enjoy your videos! You speak well and the content flows well. I got a ball python for my first snake and I'm so happy with him 😊 im dying to get a boa next. Hopefully this year.
Holding a snake is a weird mix of moving like water and being gentle while also being rigid enough for them to have confidence to move over you. I love my python and I've only had him a couple days, new enclosure had him nervous and he tagged me. I hope people don't treat them like a dog where they might boop them back. Snakes don't operate like that. Please be patient with them they are noodles with heads put yourself in their shoes! They deserve as much respect as other animals
Are Blackbox cages nice and flat inside? Trying to find something with recessed doors so there is nothing for my retic to push on. I'm looking to upgrade my retic, because i really hate the cheap plastic track for my sliding front window :-( There are so many brands, and it seems there is just 1 or more things I don't like about every enclosure I come across, and am having bad luck :-( Any help from anyone would be helpful. Thanks!
Beautiful snake! I prefer the more wild colorations for these guys. Maybe play around with the pattern, but the darker colors look better to me
I don't see how there can be enough genetic diversity for people to produce rough scaled pythons. I guess there are a lot more are in the country than I suspected.
Sounds?
Then why do they have it? smh
Girl this video is Ssooo good thank you!!
@GirlWithSnakesOfficial how's it going with Moulder?
Thank you so much I have been searching for a shelf for a while. I’m getting my dwarf reticulated python next month:)
IMO BlackBox are the best..can arrive assembled. These are legit ~ they’re caulked & perfect …had coasters on 1. Crated perfectly ~ ready to go. Only drawback freight is EXPENSIVE
cute noodle
Which snake is your favorite snake out of the popuan carpet, bredlis, Rough scale and super dwarf reticulated pythons? And why? Because you are the only person I know that has all 4 and I have been looking in to them but still don't know what one would be the best for me.
If you could only have one snake between carpet Pythons or super dwarf Python what one would you have and why?

Snake is about a year old, it loves this log hide, I can get it out without shaking it out(which Ive never done) and he doesn't want to leave when I'm near, how do I get it out without forcing it
Great, your philosophy is ideal
Hello 👋 how long would you or should I keep a SDRP in this size enclosure I’ll be getting a baby thanks for any help
Hello. This was one of the best videos to learn about snake behaviors I have seen so far and I've watched a lot. Thanks!
So glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching!
Oh no, I just found your channel, and this is my favorite place for snake related stuff. I hope youre not gone. Your insight about "beginner snake" theory being kind of a bad thing was one of the most eye opening things Ive ever heard on YT. I hope you come back :)
Great ideas ❤
We've had our SD retic for about 18 months, he is almost 3 years old though, and as someone who also has a carpet python, they definitely follow similar personalities to what you described. That being said, our retic has made a habit of using the bathroom outside of his enclosure, but I can usually tell when he has to go now and either put him in the bath tub or take him outside. He is also VERY food motivated and has on occasion struck the glass thinking our heat signatures are food. Hook and target training him has helped prevent accidental bites, but he is still a hungry idiot that has to be brought out of "food mode" before handling.
Just ordered one of these. Hope I picked all the right customization options but I know the enclosure is going to be solid
Such a beautiful human. (Not to sound creepy), your face made me smile 😂😂. Thanks for the tips too! First thing I got ❤
Great video!
How expensive are they? Sounds high dollar.
When you unintentionally shout out Gerrick DeMeyer when you meant to say Garret Hartle. Both are great guys btw.
I have a very unusual ball python female 1,5 years old. In the beginning she bit at everything, but confident Grab solved that. What it didn’t solve was that she still was stressed in a way and when I took her out, she bit at light and heat sources. So I started hook training and she immediately changed. So she doesn’t strike anymore, only when to much is going on in front of her enclosure. Now she’s alert and sometimes curious when I take her out. But after she gets comfortable, she always moves away from me. I don’t know really how to solve that. Is this a trait of her personality and I should accept that? When I take her out her muscles are totally relaxed to the point she would fall if I drop her. I think that’s a good sign. What also helped is reducing handling time to every four days.
I just don't wanna get bit because I don't want to stress it out enough to bite me but I genuinely can't get my cornsnake out of their tank
I always wonder…. If you’re afraid of being bitten, why the heck did you get a snake!?! Lmao
Because snake ownership is 99.9% not getting bitten
Your enclosure looks great. It reminds me of Lori Torrini's semi arboreal snake enclosures.
I e got a costal carpet python and now that his a lot bigger I do get more worried about this because if he bites and don’t let go he packs a punch
Great enclosure, but *I'M IN FUCKING EUROPE*
I know not all reptiles like people but the ones that do like meeting new reptile friendly people. They look and smell different. My friend brought over a bunch of year old Boas. Just about every kid on my street wanted to pet or hold them. The snakes had just as much fun as the kids did. My young Boa is shy if she don't know you but these older ones just kept going from person to person. I made friends with his 7 yr old Boa. I must have been petting her just right, she didn't even want to go back to her dad when it was time to leave.
Nice video just found u thanks
I've never seen the 'skyhide' concept before. It's super-smart, especially for an arboreal snake. Also if they poop in their tank they don't have to sleep next to it.
Great presentation / delivery. Clear, articulate, well formed, spontaneous. Watch & learn UA-camrs. And ... splendid snake.
Great video! I have been keeping reptiles'for 50+ years, many different spieces. I have settled on keeping two spieces. One that I currently have my super sweet male anaconda morph hognose and one I plan to get soon, a Hog Island boa. I also keep crested and gargoyle geckos. I do plan on obtaining a pink tongue or fire skink sometime in the near future. What completes my collection of pets are two trantulas (Mexican red knee and Brazilian black) and my tailless whip scorpion. Plus some tropical fish and two cats.
Hi Summer, I'm in Arizona. I adopted my 1st Ball Python. Rosie is 5 yrs old & 4ft long. I've had her 2 full days & i transported her in her enclosure so she didn't know the difference. She spends most of her time in her black hide box. I'm having a difficult time gaining the confidence to lift up her hide box not knowing her location and then lifting her out. I don't have a hook. She & I were totally at ease when i held her at her previous owner's house. She's big & I'm unfortunately scared 😱....
Great take your snake outside so it can slither around. BAD ADVICE to East Coasters. This is a great way for your snake to pickup mites and bring them into your collection. Fuuuun. This chick must live out west where this isnt an issue
Lol if i used a snake hook with my girl she will strike 😂 shes an Australian spotted python, she does not like snake hook's whatsoever.
Just got my first snake, a female Olive Python. I did a ton of research and despite it being a more advanced species, I got the snake I wanted. I didn't think I'd be happy getting one of the classic beginner snakes. In the short time that I've had her, I've learned a lot. Your videos are great, wish you were still making them!
I saw a video were a guy filled an empty room with all sorts of climbing toys for his snakes. His snakes loved it. It was like a theme park. I commented and told him if he lived closer to me, I would pay park admission for my snake and lizards to play in his snake park.
That is hilarious
Which cage is recommended for Cherryhead tortoises for high humidity
The website is so complicated. Too many options and idk what any of them mean. Why would I have a divider? Why buy a 4 foot enclosure if I can't use the whole thing? They look really high quality but I get so lost trying to find the right one
What size Ultratherm heat pads did you use? I read they can often be used WITHOUT a thermostat due to their low wattage density. Did you forego the use of a thermostat for the heat pads? Did you find they provided enough ambient heat for those nights it got chilly enough to use them since they are on the outside of the enclosure? Sorry about all the questions, but I want to upgrade my SD to something similar. Thanks so much!
