Hatred - Unreleased Game - Kill Team 1997 (Remastered)
and now for something completely different and very dark... Back in the depths of the late 90's I was working on a game soundtrack for a game called Kill Team. A hit-man type game in a crumbling society, and very violent and called for an industrial type soundtrack. I got busy sampling, and found a really angry preacher whose sermon could be easily parodied. It sounds very dated now, with the synthetic guitars, and the slight de-tuning of them, but it was a lot of fun to write, and even caught some airplay on the industrial radio station in Seattle which was a first for me. The mix is pretty rough, and all I have left of the work files were a couple of mp3's so I've remastered them as well as I could. The game proved too difficult to find a publisher given its graphic art style, and was terminated.

I took a picture from each game I'd worked on and removed a bunch of the duplicates from different versions and some of the toys (see 1 frame 1 game for full version) and....Tada !

Hi Barry, your work over the years is absolutely amazing. I have 1 question - did you work on Lethal Weapon for the amiga with Dean Evans or by yourself? Considering the capabilities back then that soundtrack is unforgettable!
I wrote lethal weapon on the Amiga and Dean did the SNES conversion. There were a few tunes that we worked on together as we would regularly switch offices during the day and work on each other's tracks.
That's very cool, do you still compose these days? And do you still keep in touch with Dean?
@@preston7960 yes although mostly for children's toys I still do the occasional game like Horizon Chase Turbo and the Dark Quest series. I still keep in touch with Dean. I was hoping to meet up with him on a recent trip to Scotland but ran out of time. :(

It's a shame you didn't get to see Dean but nice to see you keep in touch, you're both legends and of all the game music that I grew up with, yours and Deans is by far the best.
