I own this very same Lens, and i absolutely love it. I par it with the Canon EOS R6m2 with an adapter. I take it with me when im out travelling/hunting everytime, sometimes i use it in studio. I love you came back to it on a video. MUCH APPRECIATED.

I prefer the Nikon 28-300 VR Its Small, Twist Focus, & Tack on my D600 & D800. Also its less conspicuous in my opinion. for street. although I do use a sigma 35mm Art and a Nikon 28mm f1.8 for street, I get many Many Keepers from the Nikon 28-300 VR and also for Travel it doesn't stand out so your hit rate from wide to far away in the day is exceptionally high. If you get this lens you wont sell it. its too useful for travel and General use. If I was just wanting a good setup to go abroad and general stuff. I think This lens and a 28 or 35 or 50, f1.8 for the evenings and you are ALL SET. Also look up Jay Maisel He uses this lens for Street.

I love mine, but I am 78 years old, and the lens in combo with my Canon 1DS Mark 2 is just too much weight for any extended photo shoots for me. It's a great lens, but kinda heavy for this old man,

sounds like you got a bad machine man. thats not normal. I'm doing 4k on a M2 Pro Mini with no beach ball whatsoever.

Such a heartwarming review of an incredible lens! The Canon EF 28-300mm is a true all-in-one workhorse, offering unmatched versatility. I used it to capture stunning shots of my son and his team during baseball games, and the reach of that 300mm zoom made it feel like I was right in the action. Crazy how many people don't even know this lens but are impressed when they see it.

A friend who shoots Nikon DSLR's uses the same focal length Nikon on his D780 for pro work. I just got the R6 II and was thinking this might be a great lens for all around, shooting.

I have both lenses, the Canon 300mm looks more zoomed in compared to Sigma at 300mm. The Sigma 120-300mm f2.8 sports the image quality surprisingly as good as the Canon 300mm mark I on a R6 body and the AF is noticeable quicker than Canon. But Canon AF accuracy is a bit better for sports action shots. Both lenses are excellent! The Sigma 120-300 sports is more versatile because it has good zoom range. But lenses are required use a monopod for longer shooting time.

Although not quite considering the procedure, I enjoyed this review since, very thoughtful and thorough, it is a model of excellence.

It's hard to get good photos with 1.2? You stop down to f2 eventually😅 135 all the way

Im a hobbyist/ amateur photographer from California. I like to shoot sports, mostly of my boys playing baseball, soccer, football, and i normally use a Sigma 150-600mm. I noticed when they play soccer and im on the sideline, 150 is just too much when they're running right at me. I need something kind of in the middle and i considered this lens but ended up going with a 35-350 mm instead. I got a great deal on ebay for a lens that looked like it had never been touched. I really like the range it gives me and its a great travel lens as well. Its not as sharp as the newer L's but I think its great for what I use it for. This was a great video, and those photos came out great as well! Thanks

canon 300mm win!

Just letting you all know that i made a 3rd and possibly final video on the Canon Ef 28-300mm f3.5-5.6 L USM… what are your thoughts on the update?

I enjoyed this video for multiple reasons: 1. It's awesome to see how fluid you are at explaining and showcasing the content of lenses mixed with travels. So I find this engaging 2. Even though I'm an amateur at photography, it's so easy to follow the variances and nuances in content that I was directly involved in. Leading into : 3. I love seeing this blend into the trip we shared and it helps to relive those moments. Wonderful share 👍🙏

Been using this lens for the last four years on my 90d and 1dx mk ii fir our show jumpers and dressage horses also have the 70-200 2.8 but 99% it’s the 28-300 superb lens

Canon has more dreamy look, but sigma 120 300 has the flexibility to zoom in and out with f2.8

Watching your video made it easy for me when it comes down to using an all in one lens.

Gonna get this lens and an 1Dx Mk2 when I go fullframe ... I travel a lot , and using 3-4 lenses would be a backpain ... I'd still haul a 17-40 for tight shots ...

the Canon appears to have rounder softer bokeh and backgrounds, But the sigma is prolly the best you can get for a 100-300 zoom at its price point. No one would ever call you out or be able to tell you werent shooting a with a canon prime

Profoto is very expensive, but well worth the price. If anyone gets a chance to use these bad boys, they will see the ease of use and ttl Profoto has is second to none. These are professional grade tools.
