A-mazing haul!! For small Rand McNallys or Tell-A-Tales, I hardly ever keep the story intact as most are glued together single pages (and adding hinges adds bulk). I use the covers and then maybe 1 or 2 pages from the book, then save the other pages for ephemera and embellishments (fussy cuts, pockets, etc).

I want to buy all the letters too, and read them all! I did get some travel diaries at an estate sale last year and read some of them -- they were quite interesting. I hope your craft sale goes well!

Wow! You found some really neat things. I love the 50's too, wish I could have lived in that time. Your junk journal is very unique, I love it 😊 How do you price them? I would have a hard time putting originals in them because they are one of a kind items, but that's what makes them so special.

@harleylee3031 Hi there! Welcome to UA-cam 😊 I think I figured out your glue problem... if you notice, your bottle says Fabri-Fix and apparently there's a difference between that and Fabri-Tac. I have used Fabri-Tac on many different things with great results. Here's what Google said the difference was "Fabri Fix is a repair wrap that hardens into a permanent fix, while Fabri-Tac is a premium fabric glue that can be used on a variety of materials". Hopefully, if you get the right one it will work for you. Also, it really takes time to build a subscriber base and get your videos in the algorithm so hang in there. I subscribed to your channel 😊

It would be so cute to frame some of those book pictures for a nursery or some of the old ads framed, such great photos and pictures!

Hi, Harley! Congratulations on your first video. I have a couple up. But mostly they are private. I'm trying to get the nerve to make them public. I don't have a lot experience with YT-- except my incessant watching! You mentioned getting equipment to set up filming and so on, and asked for tips. I think filming near a window, with natural daylight might help with the glare, and turning your camera landscape (sideways) to film will make your video the full screen size. As to your haul! WOW! wowzah! I loved the old advertisements. The color ads are such a beautiful piece of art, aren't they? Tip: check copyrights on some things, you may be able to scan and reuse again and again in your books that you sell. If the copyright is still in place, you can cut and use them in your books but you can not copy them. I say use the comics! Like you mentioned condition, why not!? I love the Archie's Comics. in fact my current set of hens and rooster are Archie, Veronica, and Betty. I'm gonna subscribe, maybe your courage to go public on YT might rub off onto me.
