My daughter, now 18 yrs old, developed angiofibromas at about age 7-8yr from TSC2. We tried Timolol optic solution & it worked pretty well, redness gone, kept angios small. It didn't completely take them away, but none got fibrous or really big. Our dermatologist in the States here, suggested rosacea topical treatments. The 1st go, we got immediate great results with a tiny bit once a day. Then came the purple cheeks & the rebound effect. We were switched to Rhofade, which I love! Kiddo doesn't like the grainy texture of it. Our insurance doesn't pay for it because there are no case reports or "evidence" for TSC. It takes the red from the cheeks & shrinks the angios & reduces the bulbous nose-- like it does for rosacea. We use a tiny tiny dab once every 1-2 days, because she protests. It works better with once a day, but go slow because the potential for the rebound effect. We tried shave excision because she had an angio in her nose on the facial skin front part. Angios got worse during puberty, and sun exposure. Thank you for this video.

When I was 39 years old I noticed shortness of breath with excursion. I was told I have CTEPH I had 15 blood clots removed from both lungs. I was just diagnosed with TSC2 and wonder if I actually have lymphangioleiomyomatosis?

There is a 2 1/5 year old child In Cairo Egypt, just undergoing many MRI and extended EEG., to determine the diagnosis of Tuberous Sclerosis Complex. O f course the parents are quite distraught and asking where is the best place for up to date treatment for TSC....

This organization is great not because everybody needs cure no one is perfect but it nice to know we are not alone because I know as someone with a rare auto immune disease it hard because people don’t always understand why we get sick a lot or don’t have energy to do the simple things because we look well

My son has been using the 0.01% sirolimus chunky for a couple of years from Manchester children’s hospital and whilst it works a bit we are not sure it’s super effective. He’s 9 can children he use a higher concentration or somewhere in between 0.05% ? Thanks.

Thanks a lot for this educative video. A dermatologist prescribed this for my sister but we are having a hard time getting it from the pharmacies. The pharmacies recommended tacrolimus ointment. Does it work for angiofibromas also?
