Went and did a solo run for whitebass and picked up a full limit!! Took me a second to figure out the bite but it paid off!!!

What’s the set up you have on the spinning reel
My main setup is a 14k saltiga on a 8 foot 3 Shimano full throttle rod extra extra heavy
How many poles can you use there
as many as you want

I mainly use Penn reels, battles, conflicts, pursuits, they're easy to clean, and any off the shelf rod medium back bone, really don't need much power off the yak since you can play them out till they get tired

Now that it's been a while have you noticed any difference between adding silicone around the edge or not?
Nah hardly, that silicone sticks and stays lol I had to really pry it off to transfer it to another yak
