MADE X MTNS
Приєднався 21 тра 2021
MADE X MTNS (Made by Mountains) is here to celebrate and build a stronger sense of pride in our region around the extraordinary outdoor recreation industry that Western North Carolina's mountains have made, the mountain towns and cities that were literally built from the mountains, and the exceptional people who have made their lives here. We are building a shared narrative that will help people from the Smokies to the Blue Ridge, High Country to the Foothills, all tell a collective story of how these mountains have made them who they are today.
And we want to invite others to have these mountains make them, too, so that we can recruit, retain, and grow companies and people who appreciate all these mountains have to offer, and who will continue to care for and steward them for generations to come.

Whitewater rafting and kayaking flow releases kill the Nantahala as a great trout fishery. It's all about the money for these tubing companies. This PR piece doesn't tell the real story.
I got sick of dealing with all the idiots & the catch n kill it crowd that don’t care if it’s catch n release designated water, or if the time of year doesn’t allow for catch n keep, they do it anyway. Then add the tourons that invade the area & the trout streams you once knew & loved started to decline. I decided to buy land in another state, a private water state & develop my own stretch of trout stream. Best decision I ever made & I don’t find myself going back to NC unless I’m going deep in the mountains to some little known creeks with small wild browns. I used to love NC trout streams, they were as good as you could find, I guess all good things come to an end.
Pretty good, but why does it have to be filled with marxist philosophies? You cannot force people to care about the same things you care about, you can only strive to teach people correct principals and hope they use them to govern themselves, I love the outdoors, but I'm getting really really tired of hearing people say soft marxist philosophical ideas about people and the outdoors. You cannot force anyone to care or treat things the way you do, and all the attempts being made the way they are being made are having the opposite effect on the masses.
Came here to say the same thing. The vast majority of recent newcomers to the outdoors in general, but even in fly fishing, aren’t anything at all like that which is being described in this video. Most of them just want a big, fat, hatchery trout to post on instagram for the likes, and maybe a framed pic for their computer desk. And those who do fall in line with the ideologies espoused in this video, are often from larger metropolitan areas of the country, and bring with them all manner of confused thinking that often causes far more harm than good.
love the idea but please lay off the identity politics garbage.
Amen!
agree, its annoying to just get different colored people for the sake of it. If we were good people, we wouldnt see color at all and actually include everyone instead of forcing it.
Great content! I took my siblings on a guided fly fishing trip and it was awesome. I can’t wait to do it again. The element of ‘uncertainty’ allows you to slow down and enjoy the moment with nature and family. Thanks for the production of this quality video.
So good!!!
Great video
Great job TU Team and everyone involved !
Love it!

Such a fantastic & inspirational film! Cherokee is a model of how the outdoor recreation economy succeeds and inspires both tourists and locals to take to the trails and waters to improve their life.
Is this a joke? This forest plan opens up tens of thousands of acres of old growth to CLEAR CUTTING. It does not protect ANY existing old growth. Why is nobody talking about this? It breaks my heart that the Forest Service would do this. I am beyond disgusted by this. Sacrificing our old growth for money. It makes me want to die
Have a set of multicam black bike bags for my Revolt and they fit perfectly. The bike fit option is awesome.
