Great video. I'm on the fence but almost there. Quick question, I'm looking at getting the 13.5 V2 w/overdrive, but I wondering is there space for me to bring/store my pedal drive on the kayak as well? You know, in the event the battery dies or something else goes wrong.

The question is; There will be someone who will manage legislation to allow electric motors to be used in kayaks without having to register them like boats because in PA as long as you mount an electric motor it will be considered a motorized boat and you need a license and registration yearly or every two year. Well, as I said, with this new system , there will be exceptions such as electric bicycles that do not require Plates.?

Pretty cool. I think I’ll save up more $$ so I can get the Lure Kayak instead of getting something less expensive. Way more options and they’ve really thought it out. I’m super impressed with the FeelFree yaks.

im a huge feelfree lure fan. i have two of them. but that pedal/overdrive system is WAY too noisy.

man. i am a huge fan of FeelFree yaks. i have 11.5 lure. .. but the bixpy motor battery combo is a muuuuuch better option for the lure series. about the same price as the overdrive and you get to keep your sonar pod. and good lord is it a lot quieter than that thing.

How high should the motor current be? If it’s running low what do you think the issue is? I have the exact same setup.

You just helped me decide which Kayak to buy. Been struggling to committ to the Lure 11.5 V2 with so many choices available...overload. I was leaning strongly to FeelFree Lure or Moken already. Adding the motor upgrade will be fun and now easier. Thank you.

Solar Tip.. You can steplessly dim down a bulge and all other hungry electricity consumers with a 5000W dimmer (7, EUR). I run 5 dimmers in parallel on an 850W inverter. Kettle 2.2KW at 150W runs 12 hours a day, so the water is always hot. The room is also nicely heated. 2.5KW washing machine runs in parallel with dimmed to 200...400W. Iron, dishwasher, oven, electric heater, coffee machine, all internal heating are throttled with me. We're all going motorized. Gotta have the f or pdl drive, love my Bixpy, and I do still paddle around my spots, to keep in shape. Couldn't even give me a skiff or flats boat with these gas prices. I can go go just just as far on a nice day as a 30t, sports fisher. 🙏 😎 🎣

I went paddling to motor . It sure makes the end of the day easy heading up river back to the boat launch instead of having to have someone downriver to pick me up.

Nice! Question - Did you consider a solar charge controller to keep the battery from overcharging? I was looking for an inexpensive one... but, my battery has a management system built-in that prevents overvoltage/overcharging so it was just to have an extra layer. If you have a recommendation, please share! Thanks

I understand that you are just showing how to install a 12v outlet, but not giving the information on the solar panel and hooking it up is dangerous, as the majority of solar panels need a solar controller to charge a battery.
