    I used to have these but it results in intense anxiety. I would see a very small cube whenever I close my eyes that will suddenly grow exponentially in size, and gives me an anxiety attack, along with difficult breathing and high pressure on chest, for some reason I also couldn't remember why, when, or how it happened afterwards.

    I have PTSD and i often have hypnopompic hallucinations of things that caused it. They are very distressing and i can not tell im dreaming and that it isnt real. The other night i thought i was being chased by 2 people, one of which has attributed to my PTSD and one of which just highly stresses me out. I thought one stabbed me in the leg and i leapt out of bed and hit the wall and was crouched at the side of the bed asking if they were gone and shooshing my husband so they couldnt hear where i was. I was crying that i got stabbed in the leg and i could physically feel the pain and see blood. My husband was trying to calm me down. This was not the first time ive had these and they always seem to happen in clusters of nights. So never just one night and then done. Its a span of several nights with very disturbing hallucinations that i can not distinguish from reality and my husband has to wake me up and calm me down. I have sleep anxiety so bad now and sometimes i try to avoid sleep when these happen. It happened 3 nights in a row this week but until then, i havent had them in a long time.

    I have reoccurring hypnopompic hallucinations. The geometric images are fascinating. Just wows me. They happen very fast. If I can see one long enough I will paint them. I could never think of these as an idea. I live with mental illness. They don’t scare me but at first they did. I feel fortunate to experience this. I too am strange and unusual.

    I have them probably 50% of the time. Sometimes when its bad i can have it 3-4 times a night. And im always attracted to the light of the snoke alarm indicator or the light coming around the blinds. And i almost always perceive that someone is coming to attack me.. i often jump out of bed to evade this invisible being. It gets fkn annoying. As a child it started with sleep paralysis then morphed into hypnagogia around the age of 18.

      @@doncook3557 Utter crap! If you are alcohol dependent (which means you cannot go a number of hours without getting physical withdrawal symptoms) and have been drinking for decades then you need to be looking to get some advice before detoxing. A detox will take at most one week. If you detox at home the biggest predictors of trouble are a constant heart rate of 100+ a minute and a fever. If you do not drink everyday it is impossible for you to get delerium tremens unless you are binge drinking over a period of a week or so without eating at least 2 bottle of vodka a day. DO NOT keep drinking because idiots scare you with stories of dying from alcohol withdrawal!

    I was as hard core as it gets literally drunk 247 for about 5 years until i finally got help. If you know you know but i was absolutely shocked how quickly detox worked. I had to be wheelchaired in because my muscle atrophy was so severe. Couldn't hold a pen to sign paperwork. Basically a week later with proper rest, meds, nutrition and hydration i had my equilibrium back. If you cant stop this stuff the help is there. You can be saved. But honestly detox was the easy part. Its now a lifetime of diligence and awareness and learning.and never going back. Happy to do it.

      Did you experience hallucinations?

    • @timothyslaughter476
      @timothyslaughter476 4 місяці тому

      @@Gigihubchannel I did at the end before I got help. It wasn't anything really dramatic but definitely hallucinations. It could have been from the alcohol, lack of nutrition and sleep combined. I would only pass out for an hour at at time and had to start drinking immediately. If I didn't have liquor by my side it was chaos. A few times I ran out I would be shaking violently almost in convulsions waiting for the liquor store to open at 7am. I never contemplated if I got locked up or was in a position to be out of booze for more than 60 minutes if something happened. The mix of meds they use at detox is tailored to an individuals needs. Of course I finally slept a few hours at a time and ate well, drank gallons of water and started to walk again slowly on a treadmill with support from staff. My post here was to let people know it's possible to get sober even if you think it's impossible but many will need medical professional help. Hopefully you are well also. Thanks for replying.

    Hey, I don’t know if you are reading this but here it goes: since I was 12 years old, after school when my dad picked me up I always got mad or upset when my dad said how was school or how was your day. I would feel like he was doing it to make me mad or upset me. Than after I get mad or ignore him after school I would feel like “why did I do that he did nothing wrong”. I am 14 years old now and when my dad comes and picks me up from school I do not get mad, BUT when I’m in the house or anywhere else sometimes I get mad at my dad because he asks a simple question like “did you burn something?” When he asks me something I feel like he is accusing me of doing something bad. Or trying to get under my skin. Even though after I know he’s not. My dad is getting really mad at me for responding to him like this. ALSO: when I am with my friends I am 100% normal and don’t act like that. I only act like that when my dad is around. And sometimes my dad. Do I have a problem or something? If so how do I stop it.

      When I was a student, I was always angry and ashamed when my parents suddenly came to look for me at school. My parents are nice people and they love me alot. When I was 18 years old, I found out I got social anxiety, that's when I discovered why I got angry when my parents came to look for me at school. It's that their showing up drew attention and made my classmates look at me so it made me mad. About your case, I don't know what problem you got, maybe you should meet a psychologist.

    The behaviors depicted in this video is not what I understand as characterizing dermatillomania. In this video, we see scratching, rubbing, and sliding nails up and down the skin. As far as I understand, dermatillomania involves applying steady pressure on a target site perceived to be "imperfect," and where the goal is to clear out a pore's content by way of careful fingernail manipulation with just the right degree of pressure.
