This song came to me in a dream last night, I was so into john and the chilli peppers about 12 years ago and learnt loads of his songs on the guitar. My brother and dog recently died and I feel like johns music saved my soul from joining them too.. thanks John… an inspiration

I really believe that to fully appreciate John's music you have to be in a deep grief. Some of his songs are definitions of trauma, I've never heard anything that I could identify with so much. And in my opinion that makes him the greatest artist, his ability to express himself is out of this world.
