Absolute humidity, Relative humidity and Dew point - V.2
Thank you for your feedback! This version includes updates such as celcius degrees and grams instead of mL for water quantity. Stay curious my friends!
Ever wonder why the grass has dew on it some days but not others? Do you want to know why fog and clouds seem to appear out of thin air? Absolute humidity, relative humidity and dew point help to explain these phenomenon.

    So, warm/low pressure would create rain/storm clouds and cool/high pressure would raise humidity and potentially form fog? Also, is that why morning dew is a thing, since nights are cool?

Maybe you commented on an earlier version? Also if you click the little "X" on the tab that says "I haven't responded" you may be able to see it? I have that issue with my comments. I have to turn that off or I only see new comments. Anyway, hope that helps. I'll post the link below for my most recent version of the video. I think it is easy to confuse the cause with the effect. The denser and cooler falling air begins to heat up due to the adiabatic effect (basically it is getting compressed as it has more and more atmospheric pressure on it). Also the clearer skies are accompanied by solar warming.

    Is this an unarguable argument proving a Globe Earth? Im always on the lookout for perfect, open and shut arguments to present to Flat Earthers, arguments that speak for themselves and avoid the need to engage in a debate, because that is a truly futile endeavor.. I haven't come across this being used before and unless theres some concocted pseudo-reasoning within the Flat Earth 'theory' that can be made to refute it then it might be something new that they haven't seen before and therefore unprepared for.

    • @christopherdever5536
      @christopherdever5536 19 годин тому

      Fascinating idea! I'm thinking about doing a video with practical experimental approaches anyone could do to demonstrate a flat earth is inconsistent with some basic experiential data. Still working on making up a list though. Hadn't though about this video being linked. What exactly did you connect as evidence? I suppose having two regions of the earth that are always colder than the others would be difficult to explain with a flat earth...unless you concocted some really weird solar system model. hmmm.

      Hmmm. Tell me more? My first year middle school students are encountering high and low pressure conceptually for the first time with this demo. Sr., as a science teacher and after having climatology classes in my post grad. I can only say that this is genius level demonstration with analogy + storytelling. I already said sometimes to students "imagine the atmosphere as we are all in a huge close air aquarium", and air pressure columns in a mountain and at sea level as similar to our crushing sensation in the ears as we go more than a couple of meters deep in a pool, but this is the cherry on top of all that analogy cake! 😂👏 Definitely subbed 👍

    Great video - I came here after escaping the video where your students watch ... noisily ;) The demonstration is great for explaining everything from a sea breeze to room air circulation where you turn the heater on. *But* large scale weather systems are sadly more complicated. I kept struggling again and again with more advanced concepts, because I was retrying to apply these ideas where they don't belong. As a challenge - just pull up a weather map like windy/com and show that a low pressure system coincides with higher than average temperature. It may work for a tropical cyclone or some "thermal lows", but midlatitude storms are driven by different mechanics. When talking about cyclogenesis, we're dealing with rossby waves, wind shear, jet stream divergence and all that nonsense. And even after more than a lecture of environmental physics I can't tell you how exactly it works, what is cause and what effect -_- There is a reason people study meteorology their entire lives ^^ The "warm air rises cold air sinks" explanation is great, but it only gets you so fair ;)

    • @christopherdever5536
      @christopherdever5536 6 днів тому
