I got it installed at the dealer, so I did not have any problems.

@@Fi-xn7ih Nice but how did you get those pops at the end when you downshift were you just tapping the throttle?

@@gabriellusung6804 I'm not downshifting. The best way to get the pops is to accelerate from 2k to 4-5k rpm and lift throttle. It has to be in sport/sport+ mode. But keep in mind that it's not always the same, sometimes you get them louder and sometimes lighter.

Hi, it is an original BMW part, so it does not void warranty. And indeed they install it for you. But if your car is built after October 2018 or so the exhaust might not be available. I suggest you check with your dealer.

I don't know other exhausts other than from internet videos. I went with MPE because of the warranty and because I did not want something too loud. And I did not notice any power increase.

There would be no performance increase on the n20/n26 from mpe. The only bottleneck for this car is the cat.

​@@benmusaelyants9418 You need to check with your dealer, since this depends from where you live. In Europe this is totally legal and within warranty as long as your car is from before July 2018 or so (related to OPF). In the US, there is no such limitation as far as I know. Your dealer will give you the most accurate information.

Yes, that is a big difference with respect to stock. I could never hear pops in stock with windows up, with this exhaust you can hear them (especially if you put the rear seat down).

Honestly I cannot really tell, but if it does is not by much.

@@Fi-xn7ih ok thanks man. Mine is brand new. I hope that it will be noisier after a couple of months 😅 (I had a 135i with MPE exhaust before, that's why it is never enough with the sound but you can't blame a 4cylinder vs a 6..). Thanks !

The loudest pops are at around 5000 rpm I think (in that video in 2nd gear). But I guess it's a bit random.

It's an original BMW exhaust, so any dealer should sell it.

Then this is probably the exhaust you want. More sporty and not over the top, but you definitely feel the difference both from outside and also when driving with windows up (especially if you put the rear seat down).

Thanks! I don't think it has changed much, at least I could not notice it. Compared to stock it has I think a deeper tone but without being too loud. The main difference is that with this exhaust the flap is gone, so even in comfort it sounds deeper and you can hear that inside the car even when cruising on "D" in the city at low speed, which I like a lot. Next, in sport it burbles WAY more, and you can often hear the pops and crackles during the overrun, especially if you really want to (accelerating up to 5000 rpm of so and lifting throttle). Also, when you upshift near the redline the exhaust "pops" are way louder (even too much for me). Overall, very happy with it. Louder than stock but not too much and nicer engine tone regardless of how you drive.

@@Fi-xn7ih Thank you so much for such a detailed and clear response! This information and the video is incredibly helpful since I have (2017) 430i with the same engine. I plan on getting either this MPE or the 440i MPE sometime in March or April. It has been challenging to find videos of the MPE on the B48/B46 as most videos are based on the older N20 which have a lot of subtle sound differences. In any case thanks again and I'm super excited to get my exhaust as well!

@@endlessdrive8421 Yes, I spent also lot of time looking for online videos. For the outside sound I could find a few, but not for the in-cabin sound (which is what I care most). I also spoke to a couple of knowledgeable bmw workers who had actually driven the a car with the exhaust and they recommended it. Good luck ;) P.S: If you want it louder inside the cabin, put the rear seat down, makes quite a difference.

Hi, no, not really. But usually when I shift at high rpm I do it in manual and I shift before the redline. Does it happen maybe when you drive in S auto mode? I think then it is a bit more jerky if that is what you mean.

@SnipeLord is your car made before end of 2018? If so, you should be able to order this exhaust at any BMW dealer and it will not void the warranty because it is a BMW part. Cost is around 1.000-1.200 euro including mounting. However, if your car is made after 2018 (I don't remember exactly which month) then it has OPF filter and this exhaust can't be mounted unfortunately. Check with your dealer, they will tell you. F30 330i yea my car is pre 2018. thanks very much for the response, I’m definitely buying this. The only thing that kind of bothers me about the car is the steering wheel. Is it even possible to have an m sport steering wheel installed?

@@ytacc2978 Yes, it is possible. I really wanted the M sport one but they asked me around 2.000 (airbag needs to be replaced) euro for everything, so I passed. However, mine is the "individual" one, which feels really nice and thick (I think very similar in feeling than the M sport one). If it had had the normal "sport" one I would have definitely replaced it, since I hate that steering wheel.

@Maciej Lebioda : just the muffler and the tips, rest is stock. Rear seats down make a big difference though.

@@Ghandu123 Yes, that is all, MPE was mounted at BMW dealer. All the MPE clips were recorded on the same day, and you can compare the sound with other 330i f30 mpe videos. I was also surprised from the gunshots, but you don't get them often and really need to rev up to 5000 rpm or so. Of course inside the tunnel they get amplified, but if you listen at the end of the video (recorded on open road) they are not that loud.
