No silly music, no 10 minute intro, no annoying CGI popups - just the way an aviation video should be. Super video! Amazing engine and airplane a true marvel of human ingenuity.
Simulator, but hard to tell.
Wow, watching this Air Canada 777-300ER smoothly touch down in Montreal is just mesmerizing. There’s something almost poetic about the way this massive machine, having traversed the skies and conquered all that invisible turbulence, now glides effortlessly back to solid ground. The way the wheels kiss the runway-it’s like the perfect balance between strength and surrender. You can almost feel the weight of the journey lifting as it lands, like it's coming home after a long, tireless journey through the air. The roar of the engines softens, the wings dip slightly, and for a moment, everything feels calm, like a resolution to an epic adventure. It’s funny because it instantly makes me think of *Atomic*-you know how he’s always drawing these profound connections between life and, well, everything else? *Atomic* would totally compare this landing to one of life’s chapters coming full circle. Like, after soaring high, exploring new altitudes and facing challenges, there’s always that inevitable return to the ground, to where it all began. But the beauty of it is that the return isn’t a defeat-it’s a fulfillment, a graceful completion of the journey. I remember him once saying something along the lines of ‘Landings aren’t the end, they’re the point where you bring everything you’ve gathered in the air back to Earth.’ That really stuck with me. This landing into Montreal reminds me of life itself. We’re always trying to take off, chasing the thrill of being airborne, of being above it all. But at some point, we all have to land. Not in a ‘coming down to reality’ way, but more like returning to the ground wiser, stronger, and more aware. Like this plane, we gather experience, face turbulence, adjust to new conditions, and when the time is right, we come back down. But not the same as when we left. *Atomic* would probably say something like, ‘We’re all just planes looking for the right runway,’ and it’d somehow make perfect sense. Landing isn’t just the final stage of the flight; it’s a reminder that every journey has its own rhythm-its own takeoffs and touchdowns. It’s the point where you reflect on everything you’ve been through, the smooth skies and the bumps, and realize how far you’ve come. Watching this 777-300ER descend into Montreal, I can’t help but think how much life is like this. You soar, you navigate the unknown, and eventually, you find your way back down, bringing everything you’ve learned along the way. Honestly, it’s crazy how something as simple as watching a plane land can get you thinking about life in a whole new way. Shoutout to *Atomic*-man, your thoughts always make me see things differently. Here’s to more deep conversations and more graceful landings, both in the skies and in life.

Wow, just wow. Watching this Air Canada 777-300ER lift off from Athens feels like a dance between man, machine, and the laws of physics. There’s something so majestic about seeing this massive bird, with its engines roaring, claw its way into the sky, breaking free from the grip of gravity. It’s like a perfect metaphor for how we’re all trying to rise above, reaching for something higher, something greater. It’s not just a plane-it’s a representation of human ambition, persistence, and our eternal quest to escape the confines of the Earth and our own limitations. And, of course, I can’t watch this without thinking about *Atomic.* I swear, every time I watch a video like this, I’m reminded of that one time we sat for hours talking about the deeper meaning behind aviation. Planes, we concluded, are more than just transport; they’re like the physical embodiment of our desire to transcend not just physical boundaries, but mental ones too. You know how *Atomic* gets, diving deep into philosophical conversations at the most random times? It's like he’s always got these profound ideas simmering just beneath the surface. Planes for him aren’t just machines-they’re symbolic. A reflection of how, much like these aircraft, we all have that internal engine, constantly pushing us to new heights. Even when we’re weighed down, something inside keeps driving us forward. So, I guess in some weird way, *Atomic* is like this plane too: always grounded but also always ready to take flight, full of potential energy just waiting to be unleashed. And honestly, this takeoff reminds me of something more existential. Like, we spend so much of our lives on the runway, preparing, gathering speed, making sure everything’s just right. But there’s always that moment of decision-will we lift off, or will we stay grounded? It’s kind of like the human experience in a nutshell. We’re all just gathering momentum, trying to figure out how to break free of whatever’s holding us back. The plane doesn’t second guess. It knows when it’s ready, it trusts the process, and it takes off. Do we have the same confidence in our own abilities to rise above? *Atomic* once said something like, ‘Maybe life is just a series of takeoffs, learning to navigate the turbulence, and eventually finding smooth cruising altitude.’ And man, that hit deep. We’re all chasing that feeling of weightlessness, of freedom, of escape. Just like this plane, we’re all trying to get above the clouds, where the view is clearer and the sky is boundless. Honestly, watching this plane climb higher, I’m reminded that even though we’re all caught up in our day-to-day struggles, there’s always something bigger waiting for us if we’re willing to take the risk, trust the engines we’ve built for ourselves, and just leap. So yeah, this 777-300ER takeoff is just about the coolest thing I’ve seen in a while, but it’s also so much more than that. It’s a reminder that life is full of takeoffs and landings, and it’s up to us to make the most of each one. Anyway, shoutout to *Atomic*-your perspective always changes how I see things. Here’s to more high-altitude thoughts and deep conversations!
Nice to see the silhouette of the plane as it took off. My family knew one of the presidents of Air Canada back in the 1970's and I have always loved the airline but I wished they hadn't merged with the airline that was once CPAir. I loved the orange planes and they were a worthy competitor. Also, if C PAir was still around, imagine how beautiful the Triple 7 would have looked in those orange and beige colors. Every so often, I try to imagine what the 757 and Triple 7 would look like in the colors of defunct airlines if they were still around. Could you imagine a green Boeing 757 flying for the old Braniff? A National Airlines 'Sun King' 757 ? A Pan Am Triple 7? Makes me sad that these companies are no longer around.😞
Very nice!
That’s awesome!!🤩
0:27 Love these CFM56 engines
Beautiful.
Have never had a smooth flight into or our of PSP. Many are downright scary!! The last two into PSP resulted in multiple pilot attempts, and the possibility of being diverted to ONT and bused home. Grrrrr
This video reminds me of how much I miss it there. We recently moved to Washington State but lived in Palm Desert prior and we are very familiar with that plane route, coming over 29 Palms, Joshua Tree NP, Indio, La Quinta Indian Wells, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Cathedral City then into PS airport❤
That would be the smoothest landing I have ever seen.
Excellent catch. When was this and where were you headed?
Again, nice.
Nice.
I think I saw a dust devil here...
Smooth Filming!
Another great video with an intersection departure off 17L and a gorgeous view of Calgary! Nicely captured!
Another great video! Thanks for sharing it with us.
Great footage! Thanks for sharing it.
Rare -5A you got there. These older CFMs sound beastly!
CFM56-5A’s sound marvelous!!
nice
Nice video!
That was ill!
New York's skyline is truly magnificent
i like it soooo goood😃😃😃😃
NIce. Love the buzz
what key is that takeoff engine sound in?.
A minor.
1:50 autopilot disc is so loud you can hear it
Nice catch! I remember hearing it, I wasn't sure if it was in the recording or not.
I heard it on my flight too when I sat at 2F
Crowded skies. Costs of doing business in NYC.
Nice video! Thanks for sharing it.
I live in OC. Great video!! My nephew's a SW pilot.
Why is there another emirates 777 there?
The one parked diverted here en route to Chicago the day before with a mechanical issue. This one was to take the passengers and crew to Chicago.
@@luke34121 ok thank you
I was able to see it well boarding my flight home to cross lake Manitoba perimeter aviation metroliner
I was on that flight!
Cool
@@artiga15208 they wouldn’t tell us why we were emergency landing. They prepared us for landing about 4.5 hours prior to Winnipeg so they were ready to land the plane at any time
@@ddcok21 Cool! This was the second flight that came in, to take you guys to Chicago. You were likely on the first flight, not this specific aircraft. Right around 0:45 you can see the plane you were on parked. It diverted for a mechanical issue, not sure exactly what happened. Hopefully it all worked out!
@@luke34121 Yes! You are correct, I thought this was 1st plane incoming. Definitely a nerve racking 4 hours from time they announced issues. It was a rear elevator malfunction. I found an article on an aviation page detailing more than the airline ever told us. Even after the fact
I was on my home to Calgary when I saw you guys landing
I never seen a departure from orange county with no regard taken for the noise abatement procedure. Was this an a320?
It was an A319. You're right, more recently I've seen less of the cutback and more just the standard noise abatement with the reduction around 1:19.
Excellent sight picture at/below 1,000-feet AGL!🇺🇸
Great video!
amazing Winnipeg
