I'll Fly Away/Heaven's Jubilee - Marlene Hall Unplugged
Переглядів 97 тис.12 років тому
This is Mrs. Marlene Hall, my piano teacher from Thompsonville, IL. This style of piano playing and accompaniment is dying out and a deep part of my roots. She's an extremely talented and blessed lady. She's given so much to me. I went over to her house while I was home during the Holidays in 2007 and she let me record her playing.
Made me smile - thank you
Nobody plays like that anymore. They don't teach that anymore either.
Stunning
Absolutely amazing brings tears to my eyes I've been playing for nearly 50 years now but sadly due to health and sight I no longer play much. This was one of my late mums friends favourite also and I used to play it for her . Wonderful hearing the Hammond organ
Very fun! Thank you!
God given talent used to bless thousands.
Is she still alive?
We need about a million more like her. I love what she plays so much. How did our country lose it's way ?? God Bless America..
It’s been 6yrs and I still haven’t found a version I like more! Take it away candid Marlene!
Great piano!
My Aunt, best friend
Marlene was an awesome Christian servant to our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. I had the honor to meet Marlene when I drove from Michigan to visit my former employee and wonderful friend Lora Johnson. Marlene was staying with Lora during the time Lora’s husband Chuck had passed away. I remember sitting at the kitchen table and talking to both of them regarding JESUS. It was a time when I shared with them what Jesus had done for me and at age 48 in 2004 JESUS changed my life. I will never forget the time I spent with Lora, (whom I had known for over 40 years), and Marlene in the kitchen. I look forward to seeing them again in heaven. I will never forget them and the time we spent together and going to the Mexican restaurant after church. And so I remember God word as I remember both of them. God’s Love, Mercy, Grace, Peace, Forgiveness, Faithfulness, Redemption, Promise, Hope, Joy, Victory, Salvation, Eternal Life, and Paradise. Because JESUS is The Way, The Truth and The Life and no one comes to the Father except through Jesus. (John 14:6) John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 2Thesalonians 4:13-18 13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
Beautiful very Talented ❤
This is surely a dying style of playing and brings back many memories for me. This clip needs to be cherished by her family of others who know or knew her. I do hope we will have these hymns in Glory Land with the old church masters playing them.
Well done !
wow..the best

Now that’s the way this song should be played!
Great playing enjoy your playing !❤
Good to hear that on old keys had such range ,Lord I hope she in heaven playing
Rest in Peace Marlene. My wonderful piano teacher of 10 years, athough I don’t think I’ll ever be at her level. I think about her often and the days where we would do duets together. I still have all of the sheet music she gave me with her handwritten notes on it
I wish I could have met her. She seems wonderful.
Loved it!
amen and praise Jesus Christ from taiwan 🕯️🙏
She makes it looks soo easy! Look how relaxed her hands are!!
Wow God has blessed you! Blessed me too!
Hallelujah for Marlene unplugged!
She has made a lot of people's day. Just discovered this. Just wonderful! 👍
If you want to hear someone else really play Southern Gospel piano, listen to Scarlet Haynes on Emory Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee on Facebook. She plays most Sundays and always the prelude before announcements.
Marlene, this was “ outstanding “ a very catchy tune 😂
This lady keeps a song in her heart AND her fingers!!! Loved listening to her play.
Those sisters in Christ are a BLESSING & are great musicians! How tragic that many modern-day (so-called) churches have gone to the entertainment format with their music! It's like being in a night-club! HORRIBLE!!
There's constructive, learned feedback and there's scolding. Which are you? Hint: in years past, we met scolds with the ducking stool! #fun
Great gospel music!
❤️❤️❤️❤️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Amazing! I could sit and listen to her play all day. I've been playing guitar In church for probably 16 years now and just been blessed with many talents and became the piano player Easter Sunday. Play everything by ear.
