    Hey doc. I’m a physician from korea. I really wanna say that THIS IS THE BEST VIDEO in my whole life. I got morton’s neuroma 5 yrs ago, i got my metatarsal bone surgery because of that. But strangely I got really bad knee pain for recent 2 yrs I learned that my externally rotated tibia is the very problem, and this video just fixed it. Bless you doc

    Nonsense. Straws are meant for overworked or overly stressed voice. They are NOT for improvement of singing. Straw exercises are meant to relax the voice. Singing is an athletic event. It requires pressure and physicality. Straws cannot build the core strength needed to sing without over stressing the larynx Too much emphasis has been put on straw exercises who don't know any better because 98% of all "voice teachers" or "voice coaches" don't actively perform or have NEVER performed in any significant way.

      Not talking about singing. Talking about creating awareness of what diaphragmatic breathing feels like

    Hello sir, i currently have shoulder pain wjen i do these especially in the back area of the shoulder

    • @AtotehZ
      @AtotehZ 3 місяці тому

      There's a possibility that this has nothing to do with the curls. Do you do other exercises? When training lats and upper back you get really stiff upper rear torso unless you stretch and massage it away properly. This pain can plant itself near the shoulders as well. If it is in fact from the curls you might be doing cheat reps in a way that's unhealthy. Meaning you pull with the upper body and shoulder in a crooked way to push out one more rep. I can warmly recommend getting a massage gun or spiky massage ball. Search for Select Ball-Punktur to see the kind I'm referring to. With the gun, don't overdo it, you can hurt yourself. With the ball, use it against a wall, but be aware that it can put marks in the wall if the surface isn't hard enough.

    • @DanSwinscoe
      @DanSwinscoe 5 місяців тому

      Yes for THIS drill. The idea is that the straw lengthens the distance for air to travel. The only way you can move air that well is diaphragmatically So you learn to use it better. When not performing the drill breathe through your nose
