despite the absolutely racist portrayal of his character, fez was often my favourite. he’s sweet, he can dance and he isn’t ashamed to do things that aren’t stereotypically masculine.
Factual production error: This is episode 6 of season 1 which is set in 1976 whereas "You must be Dancing" by the Bee Gees was released in 1977. Songs and dancing moves in this episode are one year ahead of their real time.
They actually had a lot of build up between Fez and Jackie because it was the plan to put them together after her and Kelso broke up but they changed writers and put her with Hyde instead. Which was terrible decision because Hyde previously could not even stand Jackie and Fez and her already had so many great moments like this together. They even kissed while she was with Kelso.
I really think the show should have had these 2 hook up around this time. They look good together, the characters had a lot in common and just clicked. I guess it was because of how popular Kelso-Jackie was though much like how the writers of Smallville kept sticking with Clark/Lana for so long.
They actually were working their way up to putting Jackie and Fez together following her and Kelso's break up but they changed writers and put Hyde instead out of no where because he couldn't stand Jackie at all. Poor choice. Now she is finally with her soulmate Fez, but only after dating 3/4 of the group.
@@mistypedhi It did kind of come out of no where, but I think those writers atleast did a decent enough job developing Jackie and Hyde feelings for each other. I don't think they ever really hated each other, just that they didn't know each other much and were both very strong willed with their assumptions based on what they've seen and heard, but then they got to know each other.

@@notme.3917Excuse my ignorance, but what language is in there? I can't identify it. Definitely it's not Spanish, nor does it sound slavic (slovenian, czech, etc) to me but I might be wrong.
If it wasn't for the influences of this song and artist, not only would we not have Ace of Base, but probably wouldn't have a lot of pop music from the late 90's/early 2000's that were produced by the Cheiron and Maratone production teams that included Max Martin.
So in a new Ace of Base Swedish documentary, Ulf says "we heard this song and it suddenly hit us: this is what we wanted to sound like." Totally not copying, just honest influence. Ace of Base are a success from several catchy melodies, not a one hit wonder. Peace ;)
The line between influence and "stealing" is pretty blurry...especially when it comes to songwriting. I mean, the _vast_ majority of songs revolve entirely around the tonic, the IV, the V, and the vi. That alone will get you a long way. But I totally get why a band like Ace of Base, or the Police, or Culture Club, or Men at Work, or actually *_tons_* of bands in the 80s became infected and deeply influenced by _reggae_. As a songwriter myself, I love all genres and theories/aesthetics/approaches to songwriting....but for some unknown reason, I find reggae to be deeply satisfying and complete unto itself. It's so damn simple on the surface...but within that bare bones framework there's so much potential for novel inspiration. It's the same reason I also adore the blues. But still...something about reggae just speaks to me. It's sorta just...perfect. :)
Its kind of hard to call it Stealing because Kayo and AoB where produced by the same guy, namely Dennis Pop. And I think he wouldve noticed if one of his artists was stealing from the other, since he, you know *produced* the fking music?
In another documentary about Dr Albans No Coke it is stated that Denniz Pop had come up with this sound and had tried it on several songs including this Another Mother. When he met Dr Alban he finally found the singer that he thought matched the sound. Ace of Base also discovered these songs and started to collaborate with Denniz Pop. So they're all connected.
It says in the wikipedia article for "All that She Wants" that they made that hit single inspired by this: After hearing Swedish top 20 hit "Another Mother" by Kayo, the band decided that this was exactly the sound they wanted to create.
That 70s Show sounds even better in Hungarian.

Fez definitely should've pulled Jackie WAY sooner than season 8 with these moves

One of the greatest show ever #That70sShow , God it's awesome and cast and all #OldSchool forever
Dang the way Fez was moving his hips and the eye contact between him and Jackie 👀😍
True soulmates
Uh. Language kinda threw me for a second! Still love the dance~
Hungarian 😅
One of my favorite scenes from the show.
If that dance sequence doesn't tell you that Fez is Latino, I don't know what does.
how about his accent?
I wish I had Kelso’s conference
I too wish I had his confidence to attend his business conference.
Just work at confidence a little every day. Low stakes things. Be confident but not obnoxious or reckless. You'll get there. 🙂

There may be an episode list with plot descriptions on Wikipedia. I believe it's an earlier season.

If someone "steals" and makes something good out of it is OK in my book. Why say no to more good music?

Rihanna in the 90's?
heh....a little bit. They've both got that smoldering stoned sexy look to their eyes. Very attractive indeed!
WHY THE COMPARISON BETWEEN AOB and KAYO....Ace Of Base just was influenced by but never made a copy of this song...or they did?
Just sounds like they're from the same scene of music.
It says in the wikipedia article for "All that She Wants" that they made that hit single inspired by this: After hearing Swedish top 20 hit "Another Mother" by Kayo, the band decided that this was exactly the sound they wanted to create.
Don't turn around is not an original song by Ace Of Base so who's copying who? (original song by Tina Turner)
They did a cover
