...This feels wrong, like, very. Everyone in the family feared Gihren for his ambitions and errrr...interesting political views. His dad killing him Hitler and his sister not letting down her guard around him says a LOT. Zeon isn't above gassing and dropping colonies or murdering civilians en masse. And we are supposed to believe Gihren would be so gracious to just let the Federation surrender? We certainly aren't seeing what happened to the politicians and officers that signed the surrender at the beginning, and it looks like they are kicking most civilians off the planet, deporting them...which WOULD be what Zeon zum Deikum would have wanted, but you know...

The death of Garma was too much for Degwin and was what started the fall of the Zabi Family imo

If America still had any shred of it's old culture left in UC, no doubt there'd be partisans resisting. In my head this'll connect UC to the previous AD century, with the rebels pulling Abrams tanks from boneyards and abandoned military bases to fight with.
