We all know when the Hubby is behind the camera there’s going to be shenanigans…

We’re on our way to Japan and my husband is notorious for either taking a picture of his face (see all of our recent thumbnails on our Alaska series) or zooming in on my butt. He gets all mad when I preemptively ask him not to, but we all know he’s thinking about doing it anyway. At the end of the day, we have fun together and I love him.

This video documents my own journey to get ready for my Panama Canal cruise on Carnival in February 2022. It highlights the current protocols to cruising with Carnival and walks you through how to test. All COVID protocols are constantly changing, so this is updated as of the upload date. Always, check your cruise line/airline's website for current protocols. Also, if you need someone to help y...

Just keep in mind that up to that Day, a lot of Little Girls still wear Rapunzel Dresses.

Haines is an awful depressed port stop
Good thing it’s so easy to go other places!!!
Haines is real Alaska. Not a tanzanite jewelry shop to be found.
@@DronesOverHaines there is no Tanzanite in Alaska
@@DeniseBenedetto Not going to get into an online battle with you... but many of the Southeast Alaska Communities have Cruise Ship Owned Tanzanite Shops... Haines has not been bought out by the Cruise Ships yet. You want real Alaska? A place not managed by Cruise Ship Corporates? Come to Haines. Real Alaskan People will show you around. Heck, next time you have the opportunity to come to Haines, send me a note, I'll show you Haines. "Awful Depressed Port Stop" means you haven't truly seen Haines. Enjoy all Alaska has to offer; look for the gems. Signed - Life Long Alaskan.
Thank you for your beautiful videos! Thank you for sharing your beautiful adventures with us
Do you happen to know the name of this excursion? My husband and I are doing this cruise next month.
We went on our own for this one, but each cruise line has several Mendenhall Glacier excursions you can book. We actually booked the paddle and hike excursion, but it got cancelled due to wind.
I got some 360 video of a few Alaska Ports on my channel
Our son lives in Juneau. We went there to his wedding about 10 years ago. My mother noticed how much Mendenhall had receded since her cruise years before. Beautiful place. Kathleen
We went from Albany Or to Seattle a few weeks ago. It's about 6 hours. Loved the train. It was good for my husband. He does the bulk of the driving and was able to check out the scenery for once. We were in a roomette since I am immuno compromised and didn't want to wear a mask the whole time and be that close to people. I love people but just can't catch covid and survive. The attendant brought the food to the room. That was cool. Would love to go on a cruise but just had friends who came back from the Panama Canal cruise with covid. Oh well, I missed that opportunity. Darn chemo. Just found you and will watch your other videos. Thanks. Kathleen
Did y'all travel in early or late August if last year.... just researching dates as related to weather conditions for a cruise next year
We were in mid August and the weather was changing all the time!
Gosh you got us even more excited for when we stay at that hotel.
Hope you guys enjoy!!!
Good info...But please shoot the cell phone videos in landscape format.
thanks for the tip- not a pro camerawoman here, just trying to get things on video most of the time!
Could you tell me if any meals were included with your land portion with Princess? Planning on doing this itinerary next summer! Very excited to have found your video.
We went to DIY route, but spent way less doing our own meals. Plan for about $50-$100 per day depending on how fancy you want to eat.
@@4windsfac Thank you!
No more videos? 😢 I’m curious, why did you choose to begin in Fairbanks instead of Anchorage? What type of Cason did you stay in? What was the general dress code on the ship? Can we get away with casual clothes? I’m looking to pack lighter for such a long trip. I tend to bring too many dresses when I could have just worn jeans or pants. I’d appreciate any advice you have. We also plan to take Princess. Thx
Sorry for the delay in videos! I travel during the summer and need to get back to posting!! We chose Fairbanks because of the route going south. All the Princess lodges are closer north and the land part tends to be more hectic- so we wanted to do that first. We stayed in a forward facing balcony and had 180 degree views- it was the best! Def can get away with causal clothes- these itineraries tend to be more causal than others! Hope this helps, reach out if you have any more questions!!
Thanks for the video! We are planning a similar trip, so I’ll be checking out the rest of your videos. I may have some questions 😊
Great video!! Looking forward to the next one!
