How To Compress Files in Linux? | Archiving Files
I just use my Synology to free up Google drive space host and still access them from anywhere.
Can you give some benchmark data? What is expected cost?
Can you do this using JavaScript?
I don’t use JavaScript but you can ask any LLM model to convert code to JS. It should be pretty simple
How can i do that in my phone tho 😭
One guy opened issue on GitHub to make an app to move local folder files to telegram but unfortunately for now I don’t have time to work on it
I implemented a proof of concept discord bot that does this a few months back, the files I uploaded through it are still accessible. Sadly discord lowered the upload limit which makes it quite inefficient having to split up and combine files.
Don't abuse or encourage people to abuse Telegram free services it is not meant for cloud storage; it's a messaging app. Also data is not safe & private tg can delete anytime they want without informing you.
I understand your concern and I agree at some point. But to be honest, there are a lot of public channels which share some big files in their channel. Only difference is that I am using private channel
what about the public channels that share 10 movies a day, for about 5gb+ each movie, that's like 50gb stolen from telegram's storage, you wouldn't go there and tell them that don't abuse those free services
How did you promote your courses?
I have never promoted but shared in some fb groups for free at first. It was not good idea
A valuable info and a super solid trick. Appreciated the efforts
why i watch this?
okay sending this to google drive devs
You are abusing fair use, its not a big deal on its own, but you also teaching potentially abusive people how to ruin it for everyone too. Not cool...
I understand you but I am just sharing what I am doing. If this is a bug or back door in telegram then I believe that TG people should fix/prevent this without affecting other users
Don't pay Google. Pay someone to do this for you instead 🤣
Maybe scrape to folder and sub folders and add #folder #subfolder #subsubfolder as hashtags so there is at least a method of navigating thru files? Maybe the same with search-enabled dates?
Sounds great! At least it is doable to separate photos, videos, files to different folders.
Hello brother I am building a project that runs on python. Currently it is working on my machine. I wanted to make it work remotely. I tried heroku and failed to execute in it. Can i try in Aws to make the file work remotely. And the script will run for 24/7. Can this be made in aws brother. If yes ,give me steps to implement it. Thankyou.
Hi. Not sure what exactly your python script does. But I think you can create aws ec2 instance and run your script there. If you want to run it 24/7 you can use process manager like systemd. Just create systemd service and let it run your script. I have videos about systemd
if they block your account you will lose all your data
Yes, I have mentioned it in the video
I have 20 tb free cloud storage. Wont tell you where tho lol
lol
Why not?
Terabox?
Why not?
Lol we do this already. You see the amount of terabytes we leech daily lmao
Where you do it?
can use it as storage for web assets?
Maybe for only noncritical assets. You can create an API to fetch files but you will not have proper caching, etc. For web assets, better approach would be AWS S3 + cloudfront.
How much time you have taken to exactly design this from scratch like writing scripts debugging etc I don't think you did in 22min as shown in video
For this specific video, it took me 3 days (3-4 hours per day) + 8 hours of editing
@bugx hats off to you man ~~
this is one of the coolest videos i saw on UA-cam. This idea is mindblowing, why didn't I think that before. I used telegram to drive bot, but didn't think of drive to telegram. I just want to thank you for uploading this video❤
Glad that it was helpful to you ❤
As others have said - Abusing Telegram screws everyone over. Not cool..
How exactly?
Great project, i was wondering if we can also host our images on something like immich in the same way
I haven’t heard of this project. Thanks for sharing. It looks very cool. Their GitHub repo emphasizes this: “⚠️ Do not use the app as the only way to store your photos and videos”. I would love to experiment it though. Maybe implementing a backup policy can allow to safely ignore the disclaimer
@bugx hehe yeas 3-2-1 is the best im gonna buy a dvd writer lol
@bugxcan we do this using google collab i mean manually i m not talking about automatic file checking
can it upload files larger than 2gb?
@@aibi5532 You mean uploading your files to google colab? If that is the question then yes you can and it allows to upload files larger than 2GB
people like you are the reason why we cant have free shit.
Abusing free services isn't good....
I agree
Either is negative peace. You're not saving the world.
why? it's free for a reason there's no limit
@@aibi5532 If it is abused enough, it'll soon stop existing or they'll make it paid or the experience will get bad. Telegram started Premium subscription and showing ads to generate revenue to cover their expenses.
or it will be get by people with cat and corn videos 😮
Why not use gcp cloud functions instead of lambda?
I am personally not a gcp user but as far as I know it has also similar timeout to aws lambda, right?
@bugx yeah I kinda dislike anything aws as I don't have a credit/debit card available, so any services without that requirement would be better.
@@minidragonlady but almost every cloud provider requires it. If I am not mistaken Linode didn't require any bank card to use free-tier. You can check it out
here in India, we have Jio( an ISP) that provides free 100 GB cloud storage to their users.
That sounds nice but I guess it might be a bit expensive compared to other ISPs in India?
@bugx Nope, it has prices similar to other ISPs. In fact, they were the first company to provide cheap internet in India, truly revolutionizing the industry.
100gb kaha de raha hai jio😅

Hi. Glad that you enjoy my course. Could you pls send email to bugx.academy@gmail.com?
Thank you. Best videos so far useful
nice.
I have a shortcut for this .... Use windows
hahahahaha
Sure, lets just forget about the fact that windows's terminal is just a garbo filled dumptruck, that can't perform a system upgrade (oh yes, i know that with the latest news you would probably want to stay on the current version as long as possible before they FORCE you to download spyware they call "AI" or whatever). Fuck system upgrades, I can't even download an app through that shit, where do you see Windows people using terminals? Perhaps only in mental asylums thats where, and probably only because they are delusional enough to think that their Windows installation is actually Linux.
At my workplace, some people got windows and every week or so in standup meetings, there is at least one guy who typing that “my windows started update, cant join the meeting”))) LoL
good, the next hacker who try to brute force my server is going to have a mental breakdown
Sometimes it also highly depends on experience, for example llvm-tools, clang even cross-gcc has so many hidden flags and parameter that they don't even show up in the man-page or web docs and can only be learned by practice. Sometimes it makes me freak out that I might forget them so I note them down for future 😅.
Didn’t know that those utilities had hidden parameters but yeah I guess it is possible and valid point. I have also documented some commands not just Linux related but some other tools too. It is like my treasure which saves me in critical situations😀
@bugx i mean yeah it's not really hidden, I would rather say it's undocumented for simplicity. Clang inherited all the gcc flags and if you look at clang manpage you won't see many gcc flags but actually they are all supported. Also if you use inline assembly (x86 based) you will have two options to choose from either Intel or AT&T syntax, you can tell the assembler about your choice, with a flag while compiling, but you won't see them being documented in the manpage. I also believe it's just tip of the iceberg there is a lot to discover beneath. 😅 . . . (I spend most of my time working with system level languages so it know a little bit more about the toolchains and utilities compared to the other spacial commands, so I am giving example from clang/gcc but there is also many examples)
What does that practice look like exactly? Mistyping some random flag and it doesn't error or is it just something you discover in a google search?
@@tacticaltaco7481 it's not like that, one gotta get it from somewhere, and for me it came from Google search, stack overflow, other's projects. By practice I mean if one isn't digging too much it gets hard to find sometimes, and with enough practice (for me it's driven by passion) one might be able to discover the available option before the actual need. My terminology is a little bit wrong here, it isn't really hidden, it's just extra flags that isn't used much and they are undocumented. Considering the huge amount of tools and available options there are, knowing the possibility previously, can be so much helpful.
that's cool !

You mean Udemy pays less than a dollar per student enrolled? What is the price of the course?
It depends from where students buy the course. After all taxes/fees are paid out, instructor gets 1/3 of the net amount. Your course price can be 20$ but if student buys it from India with discounted price, then let’s say he/she pays ~4$ for it. So in the end instructor will get ~1.3$
Congratulations on 1k ⚡

Hi , Is it possible to take backup from hosted server to my local system?
Of course. For example, one way is create a simple script that connects to your remote machine and copies backup file to your local system. You can use scp or rsync command for that
