What was he saying in German?
It’s ‘RELIGION’! Make an effort, please.
❤
Sorry it's Religion
The best
5:45 The current tories.
Good point ha!
"hey! You guys notice on page 1016 it says 'Jebus' .... That's not right?"
It’s spelled “religion” you dumb ass
Covet!!!
Jesus made Eddie for us to laugh 😆… the greatest stand up ever
Jesus spent most of his time during his three years of preaching as a homeless beggar offering blessings for food and shelter. Think about that the next time you see a homeless person offering you the same... WWJD? The same thing as a homeless person does now. Of course not all people who offer blessings for food or money are homeless. Many of them are priests.
It was his/her mother's birthday & he/she thought this would make a nice birthday present to dear old mom :)
"And that was why the Romans ruled the world"
Tangled slinky
In reference to the speed at which Jesus moves: In the original Greek of the Gospel of Mark, the word "immediately" gets used quite frequently. It's multiple times each chapter. It's so odd that many translations edit it out because it sounds weird.
Jesus in Flip-flops. It's all in the technique of crabby toes! Hippies
🤣🤣🤣
I came for the amusing spelling mistake and stayed for the comedy
"Oh shit, good point" OMG HAHAHAH
"cover" thy neighbour's ox *facepalm* the word is "covet" [thy neighbour's ox], 'covet' being an archaic word for envy/desiring after something that already belongs to another
How about a screwdriver?
WHOOOOSH!
If you'd seen / listened to the whole show you'd know he makes a point about the whole cover/covet thing. That was the whole joke. This is just a clip taken out of the context of the entire show
Religeon?
I thought those Earth creatures that go quack were called cats!!?
Which tour was this?
On the way to having his head fucked up by ?? drugs, syph? who knows just plain fucked up wanker.
watch what you say and do. god, the fellow who created the whole universe in all its complexity and amazing largeness, is obsessed with everything you do and say, not just you, everybody. he can do anything, omnipotent! yeah, created everything and he will get angry if you don't do as your told, and he will make you very uncomfortable, not for awhile, for eternity.. hilarious. until it happens.... well i've done my proselytizing. i'm a shoe-in for heaven.
Well done. You get 50 points for evangelizing.
🎵 duck is lord, duck is lord, he is lord lord lord duck is lord 🎵
Material improves considerably after another decade of practice.
Eddie: "Show me a miracle?" Duck: "I'm talking, you moron."
I like how Ed resisted the strong temptation to do several Monty Python references, even though we were all thinking it
Lol I am not religious, but I know how to spell religion. Or at least when I voice to text, my phone does.
Jesus . . . " I'm not religious mate " take a point Eddie.
I can definitely see where he came up with his Dressed to Kill material
What I like about Eddie Izzard is that it's enormously intelligent humor. Very nice, always engaging.
Eddie Izzard is the only man I can think of that can be funny on NO material.
Here's a duck miracle, a duck's quack will not echo.
Yes it will.
I saw Eddie Izzard's stand up once it was even better than this.
"Never to one side" Never say "god is over there" -- Shinto does say that. Sometimes one is not allowed in the building where god is kept so you can't ask questions to the duck, and at others the god is a whole mountain or bay so it is difficult to know where to ask. I like the socks to sugar. And mumbling in cold buildings.
Could someone sort out the spelling of religion...please...Eddie you were at school with my mate Keith...any chance of a drink soon :-)
"Mumbling in cold buildings"!
A great comedic mind. OK, he was racing a bit, still funny. Jesus = stand up..(Taxes?..render unto Caesar...Stoning a woman?...let he who is without sin cast the 1st ...etc). That's material Jesus used. Christians should not be offended...Jesus faced some tough audiences (still does in some Churches). Believe or not, at least this routine makes you think. It's a personal choice, & isn't it good that we have the freedom to choose?.
This crowd was a little unresponsive. Maybe they were distracted by the fact that he wasn't "dressed."
I just noticed my neighbor does not have a flag in their yard. It shall be mine by sundown!
In England you fucking moron we speak English if you want to speak a foreign lanuage then fuck off abroad we will not miss you
Don't speak it very well though, do you?
Watch the full show, Live at the Ambassadors, 1993 now on YT. Fabulously funny and charming early Eddie.
@stormcat1 You're frightening me. Christianity makes sense to you now! Yikes!
♥
I think, I need a flag.
He looks like Nathan Fillion.
No he doesn’t
Vintage Izzard! Jesus wore flipflops because he was a fashion kinda guy! Jesus shifted down hill at high speed with the rozzers just behind! lol only one man conquered the world in flip-flops hahaha. Thanks for the upload!
Rozzers?
British slang for police. The first ever police force were set up in Rossendale Lancashire by Sir Robert Peele, who also set up a force in London who were known as the peelers, but that fell out of common use long before rozzer did, or as Bobbies - which is still in use.
