Earth Day Orcas in Penn Cove

On Earth Day, April 22nd, a small group of Transient Orcas came into Penn Cove to hunt seals near the mussel farm. Several mussel farm crew members, Dom, Chris and Ezequiel, got video with their cell phones and another crew member, Shelby Kulz put them together in this video.

Our Penn Cove Shellfish crew shows the process of setting mussel larvae onto seed lines and later thinning and transplanting that seed for grow-out. 12-14 months later these mussels will be enjoyed in restaurants and homes across the country.
Still searching for their families that got taken years ago in that spot.
