My harp and looper version of Bob Marley’s Sun is Shining, based on the Super Duper remix as it appeared in the Prodigal Son episode Sun and Fun. Because it’s a great scene!

Installing a Dusty Strings lever harp pick up in a Ravenna 34

I installed a Dusty strings pick up in my Ravenna 34 lever harp and attempted to film the process. The camera work is less than great since I really needed both hands but it gives you an idea of the process! It was really straightforward and surprisingly quick. I’ve included some small clips of how it sounds with my different amps etc. I’m really impressed with it.

I walked down the aisle to this piece in 2001. Played by a harpist and flautist from the Halle. They hadn’t heard this music until I told them about the only piece I’d ever heard with just a harp and a flute, and somehow they found the sheet music. I was and am still a huge Clannad fan but most especially Legend. It’s utterly beautiful ❤

It’s great - but not demonstrably better than the much cheaper Fishman that I use in my pedal harps.
@@emmagraham1774 how interesting! I’ve just looked up fisherman and it comes up with only one “dot” pick up, is that what you have and find sufficient for your harp?

Thank you. It’s a favourite of mine too. It’s from an album of Clannad sheet music called Past and Present. It’s out of print now but turns up on eBay and other second hand sites. That’s how I managed to find it!

It's a lovely song, And if you haven't seen it Robin of Sharewood is a truly magical series. Not just the best verson of Robin hood but one of the TV programs ever. There is also much more good music in the show for which clannad won a bafta for.

Oh dear heart. Know it well. I'm Scottish and can't speak Gaelic but can sing up and down in the right places; plausible lie style. Once when I thought everyone was out the man downstairs shouted, whoever's standing on her foot will you get off? If I didn't find that funny I'd be black afftonted. Are you the lady went on a cruise and brought down a clarinet for me? You have a scottishy name so its worth an ask. Played you now and dogs sitting dogs instantly calmed. Thats going on repeat

I am a big fan of Robin of sherwood. From Sri Lanka. I watched it soo many times and enjoyed a lot. What memories 😍 still love it even at the age of 35. Of course one of the reason is such nice music in it too. Those days Sri Lankan children were crazy of it. During the school break time they did act the show as Robin and the team 😊

It’s the Dusty Strings pick-up - I think the P20? It’s he one for larger lever harps. They also make one for small lever harps and one for pedal harps too.
