Looks great. What other seafood can you use besides shrimp and mussels? Also what substitutes can you use if you don’t have mirin?
you can use any protein you like, substitute mirin for a tiny bit of sugar
ok buddy
thanks for watching bud
I love Japan!
thanks for watching!
🐋
thanks for watching!
thats bubble gum chew jerky
i hope that's a good thing, thanks for watching!
Great review, gyubee is one of my favourite spots
thanks for watching!
Good comparison between the two meats. I nave always made beef jerky over the years but as the price of beef has risen the last couple of years I started making pork jerky. I'm from Ontario and the price of the pork lion has also risen but not as much as beef. I've also tried chicken jerky but its my leasr favorite.
very rarely i'll find whole brisket for 4$/lb in toronto but other than that pork is my go to now, thanks for watching!
Looks delicious 15:09
definitely delicious stef, thanks for watching
I tried the same thing last week. Or recipes are about the same, however I added a large can of diced pineapple to my marinade.
that sounds like a great addition, maybe i'll give that a try next time. thanks for watching!
My favourite is still kimtao
i'll have to give it a try, thanks for watching
Price went up to $25.95,is a good deal, only up to 2pm,used to be up to 5pm,it could get expensive if you order separately especially if you eat a lot,so order accordingly to your budget
i appreciate the update, haidilao is definitely expensive without the special. thanks for watching!
For 2+ people, do each person get their own pot or share 1 big one?
you have the choice of small or big pots, thanks for watching!
Can I order through my phone or tablet or we order through staff? Also is the New Zealand lamb and marbled beef cost extra?
everything is ordered through the staff, all the meats are unlimited (included in the meal price)
We loved kura sushi and that was towards the end of the 4th time we travelled to japan
it's really popular, it just wasnt for us i guess. thanks for watching!
Sorry to say, we had opposite experienced in kura sushi
i think most people do, its very popular. it just wasnt for us, thanks for watching!
It looks good
probably the best meal i've ever had
dangggg i heard good things!
perhaps they are shareholders of kura sushi. i have to say this restaurant is extremely popular, there must be some good items, the menu is very large and it is cheap
Served bad sketchy quality food but continued eating like pigs. 🐽
How does it taste
the flavouring is salty, sour and floral, the beans kinda taste like unwashed canned beans
@@davemakesfoodthx for the info
Msg! Good good uncle Roger approves 😂 Ty for this im going to make it for my non spice family. Simce i like a lip spice
i hope they enjoy it, just remember the main ingredient for the addictive flavour is time to ferment. thanks for watching!
Yum
wow, my best friend, thank you for watching
Yeah, that fish n' brews looks tasty.
it was, thanks for watching!
Looks yummy man
thanks stef, when you coming to visit
Where can I buy this
japan
hey i've been thinking of going to Ginza Happo myself soon with my partner, do you remember what day did u go? and what time? is it super crowded? since i dont like going to buffet when its very crowded and too many kids/children (noisy) also you mentioned they have unlimited fatty tuna chutoro or otoro in that place too?! same quality as the omakase??? what about the wagyu meat? is it good? i heard ppl said its not good and just all fat or low quality wagyu...
i went on a weekday at 5pm, buffets are always the best to go early. it wasnt busy at all at 5pm but when we were leaving at 7 it was very busy. the sashimi was very good quality and the wagyu was too. everything we tried was above average. i really recommend going early!
@@davemakesfood ohh i see thank u so much for ur reply! i will definitely check this place out with my partner next month
Yummm❤
thank you for watching mr caja
Very nice vid bro really nice restaurants
hey thanks for watching bro
4:59 does it really say that? LMFAO
might have lost something in translation
NICE!!!! Food imho is GREAT!!!
agreed, that buffet would cost more than the whole accomodation price in toronto. thanks for watching!
I went to the happy club in jp and the price is similar to this one. But there are differences: Your accomodation is more fancier Yours seems to have a better breakfast Yours have good choices of machines for buying food Happy club doesnt have a forced check out time Happy club has its own locked room Happy club has lots of different locations Both seems to be good choices... wish they have at least one of them in other countries
thanks for sharing!
What a nice place to stay... Your Mother needn't have worried.. You should sample some more..
i plan to, thanks for watching!
Were you alone? Do they have table for 1 person? That is a lot of food.. you mention 21.99 but the bill shows 35.99.. Is there unlimited plum juice included?
i was alone, i upgraded to the big soup pot and probably ordered a beer as well. they used to have unlimited plum juice and soy milk but i dont think they offer it anymore
Big unlucky at the market
maybe next time
Looks delicious 🤤😋
it really was, thanks for watching!
I need to make my own beef jerky
i highly recommend it!
Do we need to cool the sauce before mixing it with the cabbage? Also how spicy is samjang?
Oh, they’re so cute the kittens ❤️🫶🏻🥰
So cute! But I think you've had enough carbs 👨👦

Liked your video! What shelf life does the fukujinzuke have?
at least a few months if left in the fridge submerged in the brine
I want to go
then let's go ben
First time for everything. I saw a guy eating. spaghetti with chop sticks! The meat is pretty good when shredded into the sauce. It's meant to stick to the pasta. Try some pappardelle or tagliatelle. Wide egg noodles if you can't find any. I'm no chef but your cooking technique looks good. Just like the Italian chefs do it.
those sound like great noodle suggestions, i appreciate the feedback! thanks for watching!
It’s pretty hard to believe this is your favourite and you can’t even pronounce the name of the place. It comes across as you just did a Google search and chose the the top search result then made a video around that.
thanks for watching!
Damn that's sad to see lol... Jamaican beef patties are so fucking good and it looks and sounds like they just ruined that one😂😂😂😂
