Yeah I think they're just surplus after they met escapement they were loading them on a big 18-wheeler in those tubs I didn't want to start a bunch of drama so I know what they're doing they should be going in the upper river for nutrients

@@adsoutdoors Its because too much decaying salmon will choke out the river. Most well stocked systems put in way beyond the natural holding capacity. On one of my local systems they overstock it like this and they have a water fence that blocks any further salmon from going up the river, so the fence area just turns into a firetruck snag fest. Any excess fish that get thrown in totes like this are driven to the upper river and littered throughout the forest to simulate the natural fertilization that bears and wolves would cause by dragging carcasses out of the river. My guess in this case is that they're either doing that, or they're going to ship the fish off to a pet food or fertilizer company and recycle the profits back into hatchery operating costs.

I was there today as well and saw the same chromer caught I think, by the kid right? I was across the river the entire day and got 6-8 chum and 2 darker coho. Had to keep a firetruck since it swallowed my eggs and was bleeding out but was luckily hatchery.

The spinners neutrally buoyant it just has hard beads in it I run it with an inline weight and I fish it kind of like drift fishing just sweeping the hole keeping it just off the bottom thanks for watching🎣

It's still dropping hard though but once it plateaus it'll slow down I'm sure, it won't be long until that

​@@adsoutdoorshow did you end up doing. Yesterday I caught some chum and went 0-4 on coho. Today caught a bunch of chum, snapped a rod and got 2 coho, 1 hatchery hen coho I took home which got me off the river by 12

About the same there was hardly any coho still plenty of chums I switched to a spinner and they were still biting the spinner their netting

Oh for sure they'll be coho in there late into December🎣

@adsoutdoors yes I noticed. We caught lots more you didn't show. It would be really long since action was pretty consistent whole trip. I said I walked 5 miles back and forth netting all your fish. Afterwards I felt 10 miles. 🤣🤣

Agreed it's the only foldable knotless net we could really find we let most of our fish go so I don't want to use a big knotted net and tear them all up thanks for watching🎣

@adsoutdoors I lost 5 lbs that day 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 at the morning weigh in from my average the past week. Dehydration was part of it. Too busy fighting fish and not drinking water 😁
