I really appreciated this when I first came across it around 2014 - 2015. I still find myself returning to this lecture almost a decade later.

The points he makes about curators in visual art is incredibly interesting. I feel that his point about action movies having no plot, or the disappearance of plot, suggests that Jameson has never watched a box set. Other than that I enjoyed the lecture very much. If anything it made me grateful to live in postmodernity, where I have access to this kind of lecture without having been to the conference or event.

Simplicity is no measure of quality, ColdChicago. Jameson is brilliant. This lecture pulls together so many threads for me. What an astute observer. What an incisive analyst. I only miss his saying what it means, how he feels. But a clear vision.
