I use the oven cold setting all the time when making dessert. Tiramisu, cheese cake, flan. The possibilities are endles. Modern ones even have a "hella chilly" setting for making ice cream and sorbets.

It'll actually make the room hotter! learned the hard way at work when the AC was down. Small break room, left the refrigerator and freezer open. Here's what happens. the back of the refrigerator has cooling coils. the longer the compressor is used the hotter the coils gets. The back of the refrigerator was like a heat radiator heating up the room! the fridge part did nothing while heat constantly rose from the back and heated up the room.

There must be some video which tests this method in real life

I just ordered parts from amazon. Replacing the start relay didn't solve it, but replacing the capacitor and relay did. Interesting either combo of new or old didn't work, it needed to be both new, so ~$80 in parts for my used fridge that cost me $180 used haha.

Crazy how times have changed. Now you can get a basic window ac unit for around 150$ . Will it cool the whole house to a comfortable temperature? Most certainly not! Will it make one room much more comfortable? For sure and it will dehumidify
