try The Vagrant, really nice metroidvania for its price

The way I see is, Blasphemous 2 have better animations and a more... agile gameplay, so to say, which I really like, as a Metroid fan. But overall, Blasphemous 1 feels better: The pixel art looks gorgeous, the executions and wall climb are more badass (And I really hate how most enemies share the same execution animation), the general difficulty is lower and is specially notable against bosses, the narrative and lore is more interesting, and I think is more brutal (visually, in enemies design and animations) in general compared to the second game, which feels more light. Yeah, the first one is better in basically everything. That's not to say that Blasphemous 2 is a bad game, because it certainly isn't at all, is just almost as amazing as the first one. And least be real... Yes, you have three nice weapons, but Mea Culpa can do the same moves as those and looks hundreds of times cooler.

Honestly both are solid games. I see no issue with either

For the world and atmosphere Blasphemous 1 is better than Blasphemous 2

While Blasphemous 2 has probably the best gameplay variety of the 3, it just didn‘t deliver the arching mystery of B1, sadly I didn‘t like the story at all and against B1 even the atmosphere feels kind of lacking. Last Faith was good, not overly great but definitely enjoyable and while much darker, also builds a functioning athmosphere.

Blasphemous combat I feel is a little easier to get the hang of. Last faith feels a bit more clunky, not bad by its not as good as blasphemous in my opinion.

Blasphemous series have stronger atmosphere. The last faith feels more alive because the protagonist can talk. I hope they all make remastered with affordable requirements.

I don’t understand people’s need for unnecessary mechanics. Yes, Blasphemous 2 improved on the gameplay of the first one, but sometimes less is more. The gameplay and progression of 1 is still very fun. At the end of the day 2 is a watered down soulless follow up with no character or brutality that gave the first its charm. And don’t even get me started on the cutscenes.

tbh in my opinion theres no need for me to debate both are my masterpiece❤❤❤ especialy blasphemous 1 that shiz is a whole another level.

I play and beat Blasphemous and I didn't beat Blasphemous 2.

Last faith is excellent but blasphemous is so much more polished. The movement is the best in any Metroidvania. The fighting is pretty comparable but the movement sets it apart.

Blasphemous is overall superior, but the last faith is still good and worth playing.

Finish blasphemous 1, so much satisfy with blash 2. And now come to the last faith. I have to say, they all good. But I refer blash 2 out of three, that is the balance of story, combat and music.

Just waiting for them to add new game plus option in Blasphemous 2. Combat is better and the art style remained true to its predecessor. There are some combination of Altarpiece of Favors that, to my surprise, isn't available on wiki. Given it came out last year, it's no wonder. Loved the 2nd part, hopefully we'll get Blasphemous 3 in the future

Blasphemous 1 one was better in my opinion. One badass and detailed weapon, with a slow exploration to catch every details and atmosphere. The second one is faster paced and ruins the atmosphere for me because of that.

in terms of cutscenes and artstyle blasphemous 1 wins, it just give of this eerie vibe because of its pixelated look while blasphemous 2 looks and feels cartoonish but it still looks cool tho b1 is just better 😅

The Last Faith is an inferior clone of Blasphemous.

I wish people would stop lying. Blas2 is absolutely garbage. Blas1 is an absolute masterpiece, work of art. Blas2 is like some cheap clone. Very disappointed with it.

Blasphemous 1 wins in terms or art direction, in every aspect of it , no doubt about it The 2 wins the rest

Blasphemous 1 _might_ have better ambientation in the all the locations of the map, other than that 2 blows it out of the water in every single aspect, from soundtrack to gameplay, it's just a joy to replay.

Blasphemous 1 was my first Metroidvania ever. The second one is okay but man... I love the Mea Culpa vibes and the raw cut scenes of the ancestor.

Might like TLF better if they patched the shitty frame rate on the Switch.

Blasphemous is way better, It has its own atmosphere, history and setting that make it unique
