    That measurement is applicable only if the house or kitchen area is wide or big what if it is a tiny kitchen?

    The problem I noticed is that if you shoot a dim from the center of the hexagon to the center of the .50" radius, it doesn't come out to the 1.50". Instead, it is 1.5960". This throws off the overall area of the part.

    • @bischoffjoel
      @bischoffjoel Рік тому

      I think I see what you're referencing, however that dimension wouldn't be 1.5". The 1.5" is to the centerline of the ellipse. The .5" radius is only a relationship between the 3.625" internal radius and the 2.75" diameter of the left circle. The .5" radius is a fillet that is "fitted" into place by being tangent to the other two curves. You'll find that a lot of drawings don't dimension every single point because it is not a critical dimension. This drawing is also likely from the 1960's, and was intended as a hand-drawing exercise, so you can only be so accurate.

    1. Lengthen the island. 2. Place the range in the island. 3. Move the refrigerator to where the range was. 4. Convert the old refrigerator niche to a reach-in pantry.

    Hi, i have a question. I read some source online as well as the NKBA, they say that each side of the triangle should be no more than 9 feet, is that correct. I see you have 10 and 12 feet. Thnks for the video 🙂

    6:05 in, - my guess is to move the refrigerator to the upper left corner.

    • @bischoffjoel
      @bischoffjoel 3 роки тому

      Upper left corner is the hallway that leads to the garage. I'd lose counter space next to the oven if I tried to put it right next to the hall entrance as well.

    Removed an island...the most desirable part of the kitchen? Never seen a island purposefully roved.

    • @ChristopherJohnsonArtist
      @ChristopherJohnsonArtist 3 роки тому

      the island blocks the work flow. It could probably be rotated and moved out a bit, but the peninsula makes sense.

    • @bischoffjoel
      @bischoffjoel 3 роки тому

      My solution is certainly not the only way to fix the problem, but having an island just for the sake of having it does not make sense in my kitchen.
