I played slide trombone in the school band. I have always enjoyed the Melo sounds the horns make. However at near 80 years of age no longer have the teeth or the lungs to play a trombone. So thank you very much for this video...absolutely beautiful...HEAVENLY SOOTHING BRASS...
@@jaiden1121 no, it's a bass. Has a bass bell and two valves, which an F-attachment trombone definitely wouldn't have. Looks like the Reynolds Contempors model. Even if it was a single valve, basses can have one valve, but it's just less common today. If this was shot anywhere before the 50s or 60s the double-valve wouldn't have existed anyway. George Roberts AKA Mr. Bass Trombone played pretty much only single valve basses for his entire career.
Introduced by bass singer Larry Hooper.
Мне 2 года, мне купили красно синим резиновым мяч!
Ah yes! Real Music! 🎺👍
Corny as it may seem, I wish times were still like that today. Boy I miss them.....
trombones are a beautiful instrument when someone knows how to play it
Who wrote the song originally??
Killin!
At the end of the show’s run, Barney Lidell was the bass player
one of the most beautiful trombone recordings on youtube imo
Really a nice blend.
@@samh3029 Agreed

Bob Havens is still alive as of 2/22/2021
The bass bone player Pete was a very fine player
@@johnmcilroy6874I believe he was killed in a car accident around 1965
@@samh3029 why did you need to mention that?
Womp Womp
Did that bass trombone only have one trigger? It looks interesting
nah its only a F attachment trombone, not a bass

It is a Reynolds Contempora. Two valves. F and E
Pause at 0:02 and theres a decent angle of both valves
It’s a dependent valve bass
why is this in my recommended
because its the best thing ever
