Surgery Update
Переглядів 3312 годин тому
It’s been longer than I would have liked but I finally felt decent enough to make a video about my most recent surgery. This surgery was similar to my last one so there is really not much to go in-depth about but it’s still worth talking about. If you have questions please feel free to comment below.

Sending healing vibes, Cohen…both physically and mentally. I see you 🫶🏻
Hi Cohen!!! Let me tell you whats wrong with my car!!! The front lights dont work. One back light is out. The cigarette lighter doesnt work, the water spray for the windscreen doesnt work, I need a tune up, I need oil change, there's an oil leak, the car loses revs sometimes, the AC doesnt work, the drivers door handle doesnt work, rear bushes need replacingl :) When I took my son to an urgent care recently, I was so relieved when we had a queer person at the front desk because its always a hassle with preferred names etc. Im in for top surgery November!! I enjoy your vids... from Australia
Just thank the trolls for their carefully considered responses to what you've said in your videos. Plus, people are just people .... everyone's gestures are different. Being in front of a camera I think, people will notice it a bit more. But who tf cares anyway LOL.. 😂😂
Ugh that’s a lot to have go on with a car.
@@TransFellasOG Yup. I have a friend to help with the headlights. I hope your week has been good.
wow they could have made that donor site a little neater on your thigh. Thats really on the surgeon to make it a little better. The top surgery scars are absolutely perfect. So amazing.
I actually am not bothered by it at all. My surgeon did nothing out of the ordinary some of my scar healed different & I had an incision open because the stitches dissolved too soon.
@@TransFellasOG Ohhh right. Damn. Hope it all turned out okay.
Oh man, sorry to hear about this, but the fistula's are not as uncommon as you think. There are quite a few transmen that this happens to. But sorry the urethra completely closed. Necrosis is dead tissue. Sorry that happened. I hope that it all went well, I am writing 2 years later.
@@CoMorbiditty thanks! Ya it was def a lot to deal with in the moment it’s like omg what do I do but when you calm down it’s like ah it’s ok lol. I still have a fistula & a couple fixes. Hoping to make a video this week as I got my paperwork for my surgery coming up in October. Hopefully my last lol!
@@TransFellasOG Is that for a repair? I went to the you know what doctor for the bottom half for AFAB. I have history of cancer there in my family. I have the virus that can cause it. So because Im trans, they're just gona remove all of it. I thought that was great!!! Not even a discussion... just yep... we can do that. EPIC!!! And Im getting top surgery in November. I cant believe Im saying it. I thought it would never ever happen. But Im looking forward to your next vid. Its nice to listen and watch other transmen. 😁
Now all your scars look very nice! Thank you for sharing! Have a nice day! ❤️👌
I was just wondering if it was really worth it.

@@TransFellasOG I don’t think so
welp, good way to show what you are saying (using drawing) and not actually showing the "real deal" cuz that is private and not to be seen on ytubes usually
Cool, getting your perfecty healthy breasts removed, definitely not a mental illness
Maybe yall should just keep your sexual orientation to yourself and quit with all this pride stuff
first ;) Never seen one of your vids but you're such a yapper, I love it.
My videos are long. Lol I don’t edit so I just upload what I film. And I try to be as clear as possible cause folks love to argue or misinterpret things lol. And sometimes it’s just hard to find the words & they all come lol
Hi Cohen! I've followed all your triumph and tragedy for several years, and it's clear you are amazing on many levels! ❤️ From BC
I'm really sorry this is happening but impressed at your willingness to talk publicly about your experience. Anyone with chronic mental health issues is not going to have capacity to effectively consider the risks of this experimental surgery and to give their "informed consent". It's okay to be resentful and regretful about what has been done to you. 😔
Phalloplasty is never performed by “informed consent,” and it is far past experimental. Being condescending and giving a backhanded compliment feigned as concern snd support is the lowest of the low. Why say anything at all?
True. That's why I like Dr Cranes office. Dr Santucci is great.
Tbh crane & his team have been so great with helping me from a far cause my gp & such here are clueless. I can txt crane & he is one it so fast. I’ve had issues but travel & mental health have really stressed me out so I feel like that contributed big time. My body also heals fast so at times things healed too well or shrunk, and stitches didn’t dissolve before I healed so it was a lot of those busting out. But it’s the risks, every surgery I’ve had prior went amazing. I’m still lucky just not as lucky as the rest of mine. But I wasn’t as stressed & wasn’t travelling. Thanks for the well wishes! ❤
After 6 surgeries and all the complications, it's kinda shocking you still have high regard for Crane. I think he should fix you before all those new cases. All the best Cohen from BC!
From what I’ve heard, both BC and GRS Montreal have put a hold on using the Zephyr since the complication rates were through the roof.
It is so interesting watching medical videos.. Just wish YT would realized this is the best way to educate people. From elective procedures to vehicular injuries that MEDICAL Surgery can actually improve. Showing blood is simply a fact of life a whether in a meat dept or at a hospital. Every child has been exposed to blood. Now they ban words like sa, etc. So yep, lets protect children so they ha e no way to know the meaning kg the words. But keep the word F on YT! More medical videos, less editing them! L
Thank you for sharing
😊 *PromoSM*
If you don't mind me asking, where are all of your "donor" spots? Good point about recording this now while you remember all of the details for anyone who has questions a few years from now and you had forgotten all the details. This must be difficult to talk about the rough moments, but the more information that's out there, the better. Thank you.
My donor site for my phallus was taken from my right thigh. I had skin grafts for that site taken off my left thigh. Then my grafts for my urethra were taken from my hips & a spot on my upper thigh near my hip on the right side. I have 2 spots still to fade but the rest has all faded pretty well!
You're 100% right and it's absolutely not fair. Also, F Ontario doctors 😒
I’m so sorry for the pain you’re going through Cohen, I hope things get better for you!
Hope you’re doing well! I ended up switching family doctors a while ago due to the doctor not having enough knowledge and her dead naming me in an appointment. Felt like she had to proper knowledge for trans people and the surgeries required.
Just sending a kind hug from BC, and a reminder that you don't have to do this, Cohen. I'm scared for you, and really pissed at everything you've been through. Please be safe, and update us when you can. 🙏
IDK if you still have this, but I would of named it yoo-ma thurman (IDK how you spell the machines name I only had the wound vac for 5 days almost 3 years ago and I was soooooo high for it). Hoping you're doing better these days.
How horrible
Just listening to this is excruciating. Why would you ever recommend this to anyone?
Some people would rather physical pain than mental distress.
@@chouderr1089 but it doesn’t cure the mental disorder. It just leaves one with more physical AND mental distress…..then regret.
Thank God for a voice of SANITY. I admit this looks 100% but thnk about the long term complications of elective surgeries down there. NOPE!
Thank you for sharing who's paying for this? Is this covered by insurance?
Of course. I live in Ontario Canada & OHIP our provincial healthcare covers the surgery costs & I pay for the rest; travel, accommodations, food, medical supplies, ect.
@@TransFellasOGI saw in your other video that Canadian pharmacies won’t fill medications prescribed by American doctors, but your Canadian insurance pays for out of country surgery procedures? Very strange! Hope you’re doing well, great video!
@@KL92105 my prescription ms were covered however I have to get my surgeon to send me the scripts then I have to go to my dr here to get her to write them for me so I can get them at home before I go for surgery. There was one trip I needed a med & had to pay but it was under $20. But the pain is I have to get any scripts or test orders sent to my email then book in with my dr & get her to order everything in Canadian forms so I can then go do all the things before surgery cause USA scripts/test orders are different & not valid here. Lol middle man job lol
Hi new supporter's her sending support
Hi
If it looks really good, you should consider NOT risking making it worse. Nothing is perfect.
Glad you made it home safely. Rest up.
Wishing you a speedy recovery brother.
Glad you’re doing okay and all went well. Hoorah for no catheter!
Thanks buddy. Hopefully fall I’ll have my urethra finished & stand to pee! Hope you are doing well. I sent you an fb msg with my email if you wanna chat! Miss you
@@TransFellasOG I’m okay. Work has me insanely busy at the moment.
Good luck buddy...I wish I could meet up with you but I don't live in TX..
Me too. Im headed back in the fall, idk when but if you happen to be going back and I'm gonna be around we will!
Wishing you the best of luck 💪🏾💯
Thank you so much for this information
No problem. I have another surgery April 28th so I’ll have another video before then. And a few after!
As someone who works in a hospital this is sadly mild for some of the things I’ve heard and see . They’re severely toxic environments.
I could only imagine. I was just like well that’s a statement.
You can definitely wear them a long as you like - you can wear them until they fall off.
"Knock on wood" Proceeds to knock on head lol. Had to find something funny in spite of everything u going thru
Always. Lol it’s been a lot but I have found humour in most things lol
Hey, how can I chat with you in private? Take care :)❤
If you have Instagram you can DM @trans_fellas
I agree with you. The sooner you can get the stone removed the better. I just want to hear it’s out & you’re no longer in pain. Wishing you all the best.
I will be so happy, just want to move forward & function normally vs hobbling around and being cranky lol
I just used your code and brought the underwear...I hope I like them..tku bro
I found for the price they are the best fit. I'm cheap but these I can spend extra on lol
Man bro I wish you all the best. I love all my scars...my bladder spasm were the worst...
Oh they suck, I forgot to say those meds give me bad dry mouth. Eating cookie is like a cinnamon challenge & it messes with my taste buds. Christmas I couldn't taste much luckily I had leftovers & could taste lol
Hey I have a question - for the contour part I’m a slim man but with a large chest - do I steel need contouring? Literally I’m skinny with a large chest. Thank you for the video as well!
Usually it’s the bigger chest that requires more lipo. I think the largest chest to slim build with no contouring was a C. Def talk it over with the surgeon each has their own way. With McLean it’s deemed cosmetic for the extra contouring he does. Not saying you should but if contouring is out of your pocket you could ask what it would be to get top surgery & see if you want/need contouring later. Might be more expensive as a separate surgery though. It’s a tough call cause some people don’t mind “fat” left behind some don’t care if they work off “fatty” tissue. The results of contouring give an immediate flat chest where ppl who had different or less contouring have fat that looks like soft pecs. And each body is different I can’t say or recommend what to do but it’s def worth asking surgeons & if you find others who didn’t do contouring!
I watched this yesterday but I wanted to reply. I can’t even begin t understand the pain you’ve been and continue to go through with the bladder stone. I hope on your Jan appointment they will get you in to the urologist asap for removal of it. I also do not know how it is to go through what you’re going through with the urethral lengthening but I do completely understand surgery struggles, expectations, disappointment and challenges. Do know you’re not alone. Sending positive vibes for a speedy and pain-free resolution to your bladder stone and pressing on with your transition.
Dude, you have gone through so much with all of these surgeries. A goose egg?! No wonder you were in so much pain! Keep on keeping on, man. Your strength is admirable. 👊
I work at a hospital, they use a laser to break down the stone it's called cystolitholaplaxy
What's sad is no kid is seeing this. These videos are incredibly hard to find.
Due to guidelines my videos would be removed or restricted if I didn't age restrict these videos.
They still can see it you know kids are very smart @@TransFellasOG
Glad you have an answer as to the cause of the constant pain and that it can get resolved soon. Thank you for chatting these past couple days and checking in on me too. Sorry we didn’t get a chance to meet this time but perhaps next time. Rest up and safe travels when you head home.
Me too omg! Of course we have been surgery buddies from a far & it’s been so helpful & reassuring having you to chat with. ❤️
