About the Book: "The Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) has a historical stain. The SBC once affirmed slavery and openly opposed and condemned abolitionists. Even though the convention repented of this sin publicly, a profound divide between the white majority and the black and brown minority still exists for many churches.
This stain is more than historical fact; it prohibits Southern Baptist churches from embracing the one new man in Christ promised in Ephesians 2:11-22 and from participating in the new song of the saints from every tongue, tribe, people, and nation in Revelation 5:9.
The glorious gospel of Jesus Christ commands all his followers to do our part in removing racism from our midst. Removing the Stain of Racism from the Southern Baptist Convention is a powerful and practical call to sacrifice, humility, and perseverance-along with a relentless commitment to Christian unity-for the sake of the gospel and our brothers and sisters in Christ."

I've listened to the 3 interviews with Fuller put out by Conversations that Matter and I'm concerned with the SBC resolution which adds CRT as analytical tools. However, I don't think Hall and Williams are what they are painted to be, or at least, there's not enough given in this video for me to make that decision. I don't think they should use buzz words like "Anti-racist work" (46:00; 55:30) and "colonizing" (50:00), because those are critical theory buzz words. The use of "voices" is also a CRT buzzword (43:00 ?), but, in context, it meant not changing your culture just to be part of a church with a majority of white people. I agree with that. A church, if they want to hire a black pastor, should allow that man to bring whatever background he has to the church, even as elders seek to determine together what is best for the church as a whole. A church with many different types of people is a beautiful thing. My hometown church has young college professors and 90 year old farmers. That's where I am at at the moment; that may change with more information.
