Great job, but how long before scumbags throw their litter onto the platforms? Litter is the one thing we have to keep on top of in order to improve Coalie Park and other stretches of the Water of Leith cycle path/walkway.

Woo! I made it in the video at 1:46 ! Sadly I've moved locations and I'm no longer living on the water of Leith and am missing coming along. Hopefully in the future I can get back to it again.

I was just here yesterday but never even got 1 bight 😕 tonight i went over to the Bonnington area of the WOL and caught 3 nice wee wild browns 😆💙🎣✌👍🙋

This was a very nice event and it was a pleasure to attend as a WoL volunteer. It was reassuring to hear that the work of the Water of Leith Conservation Trust is recognised by the City for all the work that it does.

The Balgreen Community Garden has transformed a derelict space by the Water of Leith into a space for people and wildlife. The site includes: a native hedgerow, wildflower meadow, butterfly and bee bank, 6 raised beds (each planted and adopted by local groups such as The Westfield Community, Health all Around and Balgreen Primary School), a shady woodland broader (with willow fence - due in Dec 2016), a living wall and stone bench feature. There are so many groups to thank for this project. The Funders Tescos Bags of Help #bagsofhealth , The Association of Drystone Wallers South East Scotland, Youth Build, Health All Around, Balgreen Primary School, DWF Volunteers,, Lloyds Bank Volunteers, Wood Mackenzie Volunteers, RSPB Giving Nature a Home Team. the Dirty Weekenders and the many local residents who have taken this project to their hearts. We cant wait to see what it will look like in the spring!!!
