*Thoughts after extended usage* Not a bad refill, certainly not a Jetstream, but not bad. Refill is slightly longer than stock so it sticks out 2mm or so further out than oem. Maintains an all metal design which is easy to disinfect with a alcohol prep pad throughout the day for me.

Brief video showcasing the awesome SC31 Pro. I'm not a good talker so it's hard to describe the value of this torch in the video. It is relatively inexpensive, bright and feature packed. Also, I kept referring to the silver flashlight as the SC31, no no no, it's the SP32A V.2!

Sofirn C8F description and night shots. Bright hotspot with spill make it a good all around flashlight as it does throw far and at the same time light up everything else around you. 21700 lets you use the power cells while still having large mAh capacity. Dual switch for EDC or tactical style carry. If purchased in the black color variant you get Samsung high CRI emitters instead of the Cree XP...

    I was looking at this pen because of all the edc hype surrounding it but what a major pain to get a refill. If you ever feel the need to get rid of this refill drama and invest in one pen to last you a life time.. keep an eye out for big idea design. Every two years they have a kickstart for a new pen last time in 2016 I bought the Ti Arto pen times two from them on kickstart you can save $20 or $25 per pen. Their slim bolt action costs $100 and 15% discount on Black Friday full titanium pens 100+ refill comparability my Ti Arto is a 200+ refill. And the clip glues your pen to your pocket so no risk of loosing it

    You can use ANY Parker G2 style refill in the F-701. Just pull off the little black plug at the top of the refill, and they fit the pen perfectly. This will work on the Jetstream ones too.

    How long does it last? if you put only in normal mode.

    • @rlgonzalez04
      @rlgonzalez04 9 місяців тому

      Really hard to answer because it doesn't have a "normal" mode. The way this works is you can change the brightness up and down on a ramping scale. If you need a visualization, think of a cars MPH needle that sweeps up and down smoothly. It doesn't jump from setting to setting abruptly like the minute hand of a clock. With that out of the way, you can't use 8,000 all the time since it gets too hot to hold. If you use in the more lower ranges the cells last a good amount. And you don't have to run three cells either. It can be run on just one 18650 if need be.

  • @BrokeGuyBBQ
    @BrokeGuyBBQ 10 місяців тому

    What's the runtime on the 18650?

    • @rlgonzalez04

    Whats better, a old LED upgraded Mag or a new Maglite LED? Thanks

    • @rlgonzalez04
      @rlgonzalez04 10 місяців тому

      The new ones are good and offer nice features like multiple modes. An old one with a simple drop in are super easy to rebuild and fix. Now if you do a Malkoff or a Firefly drop in in an old one, those are super cool. Not cheap but super cool. It really depends on what you want. If you want a good flashlight to just buy and forget about until it's needed get a new one. If you like to tinker, rebuild and upgrade use an old one as a project for new lens, led and cell upgrade.

  • @jbr84tx
    @jbr84tx 11 місяців тому

    Can't tell the difference between top of ramp and turbo because the camera closes the lens down or shortens the exposure to compensate for the increased light. Use manual mode to prevent this.

      There's some notable differences, the body. GTA is based on the Tool AA so it is a rear clicky with only 4 modes (I believe only 4) and the GT Micro uses a side switch with Narsil UI. GTA is a pretty focused beam with almost no spill and GT Micro does have some spill but throws slightly less. There is a GT Micro with an Osram LED that may be more comparable to the GTA in terms of beam.

      Realistically the TS30 has a more useful beam pattern for most tasks. Thanks for watching!

    For the price of this there should be no rings in the light pattern. I love Sofirn but I will never purchase this one because of that.

      I feel the opposite. There's not many 8000 lumen flashlights for $40-$50, so a couple of small rings on the ground in order to get so much light output at that price is ok in my book. Cheers!
